Hey guys thought I'd go ahead and start my journal since 2 of 3 seedlings of mine popped up today. They are Northern Lights auto and everything with these will be done outdoors. No indoors. I plan to transplant once big enough, but I will get into all that and what I am using when the time comes. Right now I've got these 3 in Natures Care Organic Potting Mix(made by miracle gro) and nothing else. It has been raining all day today as you can tell from the pic and it is supposed to rain tomorrow as well. The soil did not look too over watered or damp so I think they should be alright. How do they look guys?

ps...I know this pic is not the best but it was raining, didnt have much time to have my phone out.

  2. MG soil sucks. Go get some Kelloggs Patio plus from Home Depot or Lowes. Transplant into it and remove as much of the MG as possible. That plants will be better off.

  3. Its all ive got. No Kellogs available around me.

  4. Where are you located. I'm sure you can find something better. Organic soil from nursery or other bagged soil. You are only gonna get mediocre flowers from MG. I personally won't wait my time with it.

  5. Well I don't plan to use this the whole grow. I am going to transplant into a different mix.

  6. The sooner you change the better it is for your plant.

  7. Thanks for the tip, will keep this thread updated

Been exactly one week since all 3 were planted. A nice drizzly, humid, overcast day here. Sun should be coming out this evening and no more shitty weather for a while (hopefully). Should warm up some more pretty quick as well.

Edit: sorry about the lighting on the pictures, all taken off my phone. Will get my camera down there asap.

  9. Looking good so far, keep an eye out for nutrient burn as said above MG is like devil soil..

  10. Will do. Hope this isn't a stupid question, but even with the organic one? Its not normal miracle gro organic. Its a different type of organic soil from them, natures care.

  11. There just all a bit to strong for cannabis, bit to phosphorous and potassium heavy usually, don't worry yourself i've grown in MG before fine but weak genetics will usually burn and die in my experience. i think you'll be alright because your growing NL it's a hardy mix of indica dominants, good strain for beginners.

  12. Yeah im transplanting into a different mix once they're ready. Ive also heard that about NL too so yes thats good for me I believe. Went and checked em just earlier, looking good still. Some gnats around em but I am going to put some sand on the soil tomorrow to fix that

  13. Sounds good man, just make sure there big enough to transplant and if they get to that stage then the soils probably fine for them  :smoking:

  14. Lots of sun beginning today, still looking good. Kind of a dark spot on one of the leaves of one. Wasnt able to get a pic though

  15. Get a good pic. Shouldn't be mg deficiency yet. Glad to know they're still good. And btw, the organic miracle gro has no added bites. Just peat, coco coir, and yucca. It's ONTO certified too. Not bad at all for miracle-gro. I've used it in a pinch and was pleasantly suprised.

  16. Will post more pics tomorrow! And nice, thats good

    UPDATE

Went and checked this morning, they didn't look very good to me. No noticeable growth and all of the leaves on all 3 are kind of pointing up now. They all seem a little dark in the middle, and the one that had the dark spot on the leaf has now turned yellow. Also saw some little bugs crawling around so I gave them all a REAL good spray of Gardensafe Fungicide 3.

Pics, 1 week and 2 days after planting. The pic on the bottom right is the one with the small yellow burn to it.
