So if i put a few seeds, say 6-9 in a hole and covered them loosely in moist dirt would they germinate? should i maybe germ a few at home and drop the broken open seed in the hole? i cant grow even small ones at my house atm.
3 seeds to a hole, soil must stay moist during germination. id sprout in paper towels , in a baggy...easy to carry to gro spot. good luck
Technically, it is doable; the last time I did this however, I was extremely unlucky and had terrible weather for about a week and the tiny seedlings got damping off and died. Starting them indoors gives you much more control over them in the most delicate stage of their lives. EDIT: If you decide to do this, make sure to plant them when good weather is forecast and put a cup/bottle over the top to help protect them from the elements.
