I have been a patient for almost 8 years now.. I grow for my personal use only. Just wanted to share some pics of my Bubba kush forced flower outdoor grow. They were forced to flower July 1st via covering them with Green waste trash cans, They are covered every evening at 530pm and uncovered after 930pm to give them less time under the cans. This picture is day 30 of flower. All organic. I will update with more pics soon.. This is my first time forcing the flowering early outdoors. Has anyone else on here tried this method before?
Thanks, I will be posting more pics soon the buds are getting bigger and bigger everyday! 35-40 days of Flowering left **update - Full picture of both flowering Bubba Kush from seed.
Did 3 in ground with trash cans over them to limit hours.. Also did a couple in 5 gal self irrigating planters that I rolled in the garage every afternoon.. the 3 in ground needed more veg time but was good smoke for small plants.. the 2 on rollers did the best with fine harvests off both plants..
Did you have any problems with condensation on the inside of the cans during the dark time? I just checked them tonight and the inside of the cans had condensation build up. Hope this wont create mold problems.. The Bubba kush nugs are pretty dense already and I know the strain doesn't do well with molds.
You shouldnt have to cover them anymore. My bubba kush is as far along as yours. After july 6th I stopped bringing them inside when she started getting hairs and they wont reveg. Days are getting shorter Sent from my LGL55C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
You don't think they would be stressed having that extra 2-3 hours of light? If I stop covering them at 530 they get +2-3 hours of light until it gets dark. It gets dark around 9-9:30 here in California. They have been on that light schedule for 35 days now. I have other strains Mango kush and Sour Diesel. They all just started pre flowers naturally(not forced flower)about 2 weeks ago. I'm thinking the darkness will just decrease flowering time.. extended light may prolong my flowering period
I had them inside til 7am and back in by 730 pm for 3 weeks but by july 7th they adjusted fine to the earlier days and longer nights. A few times in between I didnt bring them in at all so my light schd was changing a bit. All are fine and are just flowering naturally now Sent from my LGL55C using Grasscity Forum mobile app
