5 of the 9 germinated seeds I put in soil have sprouted already, there are pics in my gallery. The yellowish tint is kinda worrying me, should I water them? Should I put them outside now?

I'm so excited what do I do now?!?!?

EDIT: Where I live theirs been a lot of rain lately. If I put them outside and it rains, will that hurt them? Should I keep them inside until I'm sure it won't rain anymore? Only problem is I don't have any lights indoors :(

  2. I put them all outside in this little bushy area. The next day they all looked 1000% better, perfectly healthy little seedlings. Only problem being one snapped stem... Then the next day, I go down and check on them and two of the (now 4) cups tipped over One of the stems were snapped and the other plant was growing at a near right angle in order to reach the light. The plant at a near right angle lost one full cotylid and another half, it was pretty much on its way to death. All the plants were infested with bugs from the area I put them in.

I transplanted all the plants to cups with clean dirt (no bugs) and set them in a much safer place. They are now 5 days old and seeming to be very healthy. They range from about 2 to 2.5" tall. They've survived two big thunderstorms (damn NE weather) with another on the way. For this one I put them underneath a big tree to prevent too much water. I'll probably reinforce them with rocks or something so they don't tip over as well.

EDIT: After I looked at the picture I saw bugs in the drainage holes! They can't climb to the top of the plastic cups, but can they do any damage from the bottom? Can I get rid of these somehow?

  3. ouch . . . well it seems like you had some trouble starting out, but the one in the pics looks healthy enough. You're gonna want to transplant now that its second leaves have started into something a bit bigger, at least six inches deep and seven to eight inches wide or so. This should get you through the beginning of vegitative stage.

The bugs in your soil will most probably damage your plant somehow if left to their own devices. My advice would be to buy some potting soil with no nutrients in it (0-0-0) and mix it in with some pearlite (2/3 soil, 1/3 pearlite or so). Transplant your seedling the next time you visit and lightly water. This will most likely take care of your bug problem, at least below the soil. Above the soil you're going to maybe want to acquire some ladybugs/ladybirds and set them free at night time or in the afternoon around your plant. They will eat a great deal of the insects in the area that consume cannabis and will continue to reproduce as long as there is enough food around for them to eat, thusly creating an ongoing eco-system that cannabis can at least survive in. Catepillars and various wildlife can still be a problem however, but it becomes more difficult to control such things as with an outdoor grow you have less environmental control.

    Good luck.

  4. Downpours for the last couple of days, the babies are getting weaker.

I have yet to transplant them, that is happening tomorrow. Today I found them sitting with a good amount of water collecting. The soil is too saturated to drain correctly. I cut the bottom of soda bottles and placed them over the top, this should keep them somewhat dryer. I'm kinda worried, the stems were pretty weak and they were leaning against the side of the cup :(

Tomorrow they will be transplanted into dry soil and a better downpour protector will be made. Heres to hoping they survive the night :smoking:
