Hey, I'm a long term toker and aspiring grower, like many of you here. Back in high school me and couple of friends of mine attempted to grow a plant, but in the end we failed horribly. Now, I have seen a few grow setups in my day and the most people seem to think that indoor is the way to go. The problem with that for me is simply a lack of indoor space to grow, but I do have plenty of outdoor space. Now, I know I could order some seeds from a nice strain, but I rather not risk buying something that won't grow in my environment. So instead I have decided that I am going to germinated all of my bag seed I have collected over the last few months and toss them in the ground. If all goes well, and with a little bit of luck, I could have a pretty decently sized crop to harvest and probably many more seeds for me to grow next season. My thought is by using many seeds with very different genetics and just breeding those that do well I'll be able to have my own strain that grows well here. That's all best case scenario of course. So, does anyone have any advice or pointers for a first time outdoor crop? -- Jim
don't plant directly in the ground, use pots.. it will save you many headaches. Also starting them off under a cfl in beer cups with 24hours of light would be good also. You don't need hardly any space to grow inside. Inside buds always turn out better, it's less risky, and actually easier for new growers
