I know that people call them trees and that is what u are growing but to get the biggest yield u wanna grow bushes. Pinch the top stem 2-3xs a week. Encourage that lower growth. I got some girls 2 feet tall MAYBE that if they went into flower right now would give me a half p each. Learned this technique growing indoors in a vertically challenged room. Pinch right below the top node. Stunt the vertical growth. Gives u a stronger stem and 4-6 top nugs. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
When you say pinch do you mean to take the growth off or just pinch it? Sent from my SCH-R530U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Awesome dog. And great looking plants . Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
pinch the very tip where new growth is with ur fingernails and it shud come off easily. or use a sterile razor blade but IMO I don't think it matter
What he meant by pinch is to bend the top of the plant over and tape it to something to keep it at an angle, leaning. That way the plant grows vertically, still. All of the branches in the middle and the lower parts will grow big and strong and you don't have to make them so big(tall)
Topping = removing the top newest set of leaves to force new growth from the lower part of the plant, giving you a bushy plant. Super cropping = pinching the stem without breaking it all the way. Just till you hear a small crunch and can bend the branch. It will force new growth and bush out the plant just like topping, and it will also make the plant stronger on the place you pinched. LST = tying the pots of the plants down. Again, this forces new growth from the bottom and bushes out the plant. All of these techniques do essentially the same thing, and can be used together on the same plant. I like to top once early in the plants life and then lst the new growth after that.
