  1. I'll be growing 10-12 plants this year. So far i've purchased 6 15gallon Root pots and i'll figure the rest out later. I'll be using roots organic 707 with perlite and maybe so worm castings as a amendment. Nutes i'm thinking will I go with the classic Fox farm trio or try out the roots organics nutes. I've seen the roots organic gallons for 35% compared to the more expensive FF.

  6. :smoke:I have 6 that I am doing LTS'ing now on, 4 that were cloned back in December, so about 3 months old, and I may send my moms out there that are 4 months old now. If I can contain myself from flowering them.
I have an old horse stall that I used last year for my first outdoor grow and worked good. The soil is very compact, dry, shitty all around. With no experience in soil last year I dug out a V hole 5' deep and 3' across. Layered in 1" river rock 12" deep, then walmart top soil, $1.20 a bag!, all the way up, I spent $30 for 4 holes. When I transplanted in mid may I put Mircle Grow 6" around the rootball. They were my 4 slowest growers, unfit to flower, 30 days old and ended up with a total 5 lbs of dried goodies come mid october, 1.25 lbs each. This year I will expect 2-3 lbs per plant.
2011 the strains are Master Kush, White Widow and I want to try some autoflowers to get two harvests a month apart. We'll see.
With the large plants sitting in my veg room for the next 3 months I may have to flower them and just start over and go all jah kush that will still be 2-3 months old.
My soil will be something like the following; I'm shooting for about 16 cu ft per plant, x 6 plants, I may need more.
    BASE
36 cuft sunshine mix organic- 12 3 cuft bales
4-6 large bags big and chunky perlite, pumice and rice hulls will be added if available
    180 lbs of EWC
    AMENDMENTS
    120 lbs Glacier rock dust
40 cups seed meal (whatevers available) and bloodmeal mix
25 cups fish bone meal and steamed bone meal mix
40 cups kelp and alfalfa meal
12 cups mycorrazea powder (most likely Age Old)
    10 cups epson salts
    30 lbs green sand
25 cups shellfish meal if available, or dolomite lime
whatever composted/uncomposted old soil I have laying around
I plan on using this area again next year so thats why I'm doing so much. Plus I plan on investing about 2k into the whole grow this year, above is estimated at $1200, here's what I'm gonna do.
The area I have is about a 50' circle that is fenced and can't see in.
Come April I will rent a back hoe and dig a grow area of 12'x8'x4',4'x4'x4' area for each plant, that will be at least 5' below the surface. The water table is really low here and the rainy season is crap so no worries with flooding. There is a constant strong wind from the north in the fall during flower and last year i had to build a screen room to keep the dam sand out it. I have a hose hooked up to a well water source that I plan on using striaght, ppm is 600 and pH is 8, hope the soil takes care of it.
-Last year they recieved the same well water on occasion, but mostly the waste from my hydro res changes full of different stage chemy nutes. BLAH!
I will be digging a massive hole, 10' deep, 20'long, 15' wide, I will leave a walking area around the perimeter 8'x7' about 5' down and then go the other 5' deep 12'x8' to back fill with soil and such.
Layer 1 will be 12" deep river rock, 1"-2" size
Layer 2 old soil, mostly uncomposted root balls, stems and hydroton about 6"
Layer 3, the above soil, min, 3.5'
I am still interested in doing some spikes in the soil with bat and bird guanos.
I will brew some teas and keep moist and covered until mid May. I have a bad hail season here in May where last year I was running through it to cover the plants with 5g buckets! Not again. Hence the "burried" grow, on the level ground I'll "hang" a chicken wire roof across the hole to protect the plants with a frame made from 2"x4"s buried like fence posts with beams across, ahhh I can see it now. which bring me to security and the remaining investment. It will be a legal grow so the law is not a worry, just rippers.
The perimeter fence will be reinforced and tightenend up. A ring of razor wire, $250, around the inside fence. A gated entrance on a sloped(down) hill, and with the chicken wire across the hole they'll be in prison.
I will use the same fimming/topping technique to grow short fat bushes that won't even peep over the hill.
Video baby monitors will be strategically hung and on 24/7. I live within earshot of the "ring" so all is good.
Once I get a good camera, next harvest in a few weeks, I'll try and start a decent journal. I'll call it "The Ring" lol
I am a noobie who does this for a living, not very easy so any advice, comments questions, critism will all be welcome in order to further our knowledge.
