  4. So we are easing into summer solstice with long ass days of low sun angle. The sun just makes circles in the sky, disappearing for periods behind mountains and trees.
Yesterday In the evening I watched many different plants exhibit some extraordinary Heliotropic expression. That’s where tops of flowers start to follow the sun.
These tulips have always been straight as an arrow. Right before the sun disappeared behind trees for the evening these gals all bent over and pointed straight at the sun.
This morning they were all fully erect again.
This Himalayan Poppy also went Heliotropic about the same time in the evening. Do to having a little different location, it gets to play ‘hide and go seek’ with the sun and mountains/trees for a few hours.
This one actually anticipated the next move of the sun. As the sun started to get shadowed by the sun, it would jump ahead to the next angle where the sun would hit it later. It’s neat to watch it jump ahead and be ready for every little bit of light she could get.
This one was also fully erect this morning and back to normal.
It was super cloudy and cool in the morning, so I think the plants were trying to play catch up after the clouds broke in the afternoon.
I love watching flowers change throughout the day.
    Cheers

Been giving leftover small amounts of what I feed the cannabis, and as a result is blooming more this year. She was one of 2 plants (RIP), and spent the better part of a decade clinging for life. The last couple of years we've been doing our best to nurse her back to health.

  9. Thanks man. I did good and the baby moose stayed away from them. I have heard blood or bone meal can keep deer away. As long as you don’t attract anything worse. I have also heard coyote piss works real good.
