This is my first grow, and for every first, there is a lot of learning to do. I live in an apartment so super stealth is super best! I've decided to go with a rubber maid 30 gallon that i have at my disposal (based on: http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-room-design-setup/611299-jack-calicos-300w-$100-stealth-grow-box.html ), and i'm going this weekend to get old PC fans, and pots from my moms house. I have 5 seeds in Germ mode at the moment. They're bag seed so i'm not sure what they are so i can't do specifics for certain strains. This is what i have learned so far, and please do not hesitate to correct any mistakes and guide me, cause i know i will need it Paint my 30 gallon flat white. Once my seeds have sprouted, plant them in solo cups of soil. (Still doing research on what soil to use. Going for cheapest and best. Miracle grow for sure. Not wanting to go to any special shops.) Get some CFL's in a cool/daylight colour, 6700k at 18-6? 50+w per plant. So i'm thinking around 100w per plant for us. Place the cups about 3 inches from the light. For the nuts, i've seen not to start them until 2 weeks after they sprout and plant, but N-P-K i've seen is more-less-less. I think 20-10-10. We will be using bottled water -Pure life, and that 1x a week, and Feed the plants 1x every 2 weeks. I'm mainly only learning the things that are necessary for the nearest future. I know once i hit flowering to change the "season" to Warm white 2700k, and i think they switched the times to shorter, if not any light at all. I think i want my plant to be bushy, not tall due to stealth issues, and i want it on a short life span, The quicker its able to be harvested the better in my mind. Question area: What is the best and cheapest way to cover the smell besides the Carbon filter? This is all i can get out right now, but i will be back! No doubt! Edit: Annnnnd, i just noticed i should have put this in grow journals, not beginners necessarily.. *sigh
Super stealth means carbon filter. Don't be so cheap. When you have to make bail will cost your ass a whole lot more. For flowering yes use warm bulbs and it's 12hours on 12hours complete darkness That 20/10/10 is no good for flowering. Your wasting $$ with that bottled water. You just need to ph your tap water. Quite honestly do some more reading before youwet a bean.
i know it's probably tempting but seriously no reason to start trying to sprout seeds until your case is done and tested out. you live in TN OP?

We were just going to use the bottled water that we drink so its not like we are wasting money. And our seeds were germing before we decided to really go through with this. If we fail, oh well, we will try again later. I'm not expecting much out it. Just trying it out. Indica, I'm from around the area.
There really is nothing else. All other solutions simply "mask" the odor with a different odor. This is often just as telling. Especially if it wasn't there before. Every drop of that bottled water that doesn't pass your lips is a waste of money. It's likely going to need to be PH'd as well. Do some reading that bottled water is usually just tap from a different location anyways. It's good you have such a good attitude.
Okay, thats actually what i was wondering, and you nailed it. I've read someone used ONA Gel and some Ozium air spray and everything was clear, your opin? And i guess i'll just end up getting ph stuff to test it. And thanks i try. I'm leary and excited, but contained about starting this up. And i've changed my set up. I have two rubber maids; a 30g and an 18gal. I'm going to use the 18 gal for veg. and once flowering hits, i'm going to stand the 30 up on its side so its tall enough and wide enough to grow some more. I just have to figure it all out in time.
Well looks like this grow is about to happen! Finally we are parents again! This time its Triplets! Ahhh!!
