  1. I’m doing the Nutrients book again as it can get technical in places for me. His Fungi and Autoflower Cannabis books are good as well. Hitting spokesperson territory myself.

  2. Welcome to GC @Growdo Baggins. That looks like well age manure, great score. You didn't need to purchase Teaming with microbes GIMIKs has a PDF file in the following thread.
GiMiKs Library of Organic Gardening Books & PDF Files
He also has a PDF for Teaming with nutrients. Another great read is Bread from Stones.

  3. Holy shit I didn't even the he had a cannabis growing book. I might just skip to that one then back to the other Teaming ones. I'm dreading the real technical one. The guy even said himself it was a hard read.

  4. you see them big ole white worms you might think are grubs , kill them they are japanese bettles and those are about ready to morp or what ever they do, i had watermelons with the size of a nickle holes drilled right threw it from them , first sign of them is a hole the size of a golf ball in your garden, they dont really care what the eat either

  5. That's a really awesome resource. My issue is I really only ever get to books anymore when they're books on tape. Between work and family and indoor garden I get very little time to read. But I drive a shitload.

  6. I never considered them eating the veggies. Shit. I could pick them out and throw them in the compost pile as I see them.

  13. I'll probably be smoking it and making edibles. Usually I press my buds with a shop press for the oil and vape it. Then take the leftover pucks and make edibles. I only press the weed 1 time at low Temps 150°f so I get smaller yields but much more tasty oil. I will definitely keep you posted along the grow even if I fail lol.

  17. I will always recommend mixing your own and sourcing materials locally. As a new grower it’s a good time to experiment with a few different tried and true recipes you can find right here. Most of us have our own version of a Coots or no till mix. Doing this solves the problem of putting all your eggs in the same basket. If I were going to use commercial bagged products then Roots Organic bought locally and then amended w compost and bark mulch would be my pick. The cost of the KIS soil makes it a bad value.

I have never had a soil test done although I do understand how to interpret them and it mostly involves with a grain of salt. This is especially true of Mehlich III being used on soilless mixes. If I were to have a test done on my soilless mix I would use the University of Massachusetts. They use a test specifically for soilless mixes.
