  2. I wish this was mine. I saw it and fell in love. From my reading the Highlander is a more friendly cow than say an Angus. I would definitely like to have one or a few .

Sent with it's not a lie!?

  5. The benefits of Maine.

Our neighbors boy works on a fishing boat. They just gave us some beautiful sea scallops and last weekend she brought me over a bunch of fresh Kelp.

  7. Thanks Jerry, all the best to you and yours on your side of the country! Are you off work today? I finished a job Wednesday and am taking the rest of the week and next week off. I went on Medicare on the first and am feeling my age lol.

  8. I **AM** off of work today, did not set that goddamn alarm and slept in until 5:59 - more sleep than I’ve had in a long time.

Kudos to you on taking the time off - you and your knees definitely deserve a break.

    peace

  11. Used the morning to get some bush beans planted, and weeds pulled before it gets hot later. Also gave my indoor girls tea, saved a gallon and mixed in 3 of plain water, cut the bag open and mixed that all for the tomatoes. Little garden is gonna be full soon.

Hope yall have a great Independence Day weekend!

  16. 6.5 acres not exactly sure of the linear feet as the propety is irregular. Its close to a rectangle but not quite

  18. Heres an answer I found:

“An acre is a unit of area, it is 43560 square feet, but it can be any shape, a square, a circle, a long thin rectangle, a triangle, pie shaped or any other shape.

    • If it is a square, the sides would be approximately 209 fet long and you would need 4 209 = 836 feet of fencing.
    • If it is a circle then the perimeter is 740 feet
    • If it is 100 feet wide then it is 436 feet long and the perimeter is 1072 feet.
The perimeter depends on the shape as well as the area, so without knowing the shape you can't find the perimeter.“

Using the minimum amount at 740’ LF, multiplied by 6.5 acres, youre looking at a very minimum of 4,810 LF of fencing... and thats the minimum!

  19. Ok - between bites of my German bologna, white American cheese, Hellmans mayo, crisp fresh lettuce w/ a pinch of salt and a tad of black pepper along with my Campbells Tomato Soup - (in case y’all were wondering lol)

Man - but I do love me my creamy tomato soup with whole milk! Cant take lowfat/2% whatever whatever - my brother and I grew up drinking/gagging powdered milk - yuck.

    But anyhow.

So it has been 2 weeks to the day where I hacked and slashed and chopped and cut and sliced and otherwise brutally and violently abused my comfrey plants with a razor sharp machete down to the ground and left no green growth visible, at which point I made boastful claims about what these plants would look like in 2 short weeks - and today is that day.

They aren’t quite up to the potential I had hoped but yeah - these friggin plants are totally amazing to me. IMO they could have been 8”-12” talker by now but no big deal. Gimme 2 weeks and I’ll teach them one hell of a lesson.

    Need a bite o sammich....

ok. Comfrey 2 weeks ago 6/18/20 828 pm EST.

And - today. Like I said - gonna hafta have a talk with them - they shoulda been a bit taller - but still -

This stuffs fun as hell to grow just to watch them grow! Lol

Tomatoes are kinda meh right now - I’m thinking they’d live a shot of chicken manure pellets and would snap out of their funk. 5B9A25D2-A506-4611-AB46-E618B4017726.jpeg

thats all I’ve got. You guys have been a great audience!

Have a good - and very importantly - a SAFE 4th of July gardeners!
