  1. Sounds like a load of tree length firewood is your best bet?

  2. Ah yes you are right! Thanks for the suggestion! It's a little cheaper too! Cold nights a comin! So looking forward to winter! There are so many tourists right now it takes 3x as long to get into town! And they are dangerous on the road! Come winter everyone drives thoughtfully for the most part.

Some rain!! :) woo hoo! :)

I doubt it will sink in but I'll take what I can get.

I FINALLY picked some corn! The ears are on the smaller side from the overall lack of water but it looks like there's a bunch for eating for the next 2-4 weeks. I do love fresh sweet corn!!

I'm having fun watching the pumpkins grow too. I've only ever grown but a couple very small ones. I've got a couple now that are bigger than basketballs already and still have another 2 months to go.

Some of the peppers are doing good, too, thanks to @MotaMike. I gave away around ten nice bell peppers last week and there's still a bunch more.

Tonight we are having my wife's cheesy broccoli, chicken casserole with Ritz crackers with a couple ears of sweet corn each - yummy and time to eat!

  13. I take back what I said - it's been steady and fairly heavy rain for almost 2 hours now - more than the rest of the summer! Lol

As a Mainer I'm embarrassed to say this is my first experience growing potatoes. Can anybody tell me what these berries are and if they have any use? Should I cut them off or do they affect the potato growth?
