http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/03/oregon-marijuana_n_4718354.html I'm registered to vote for it here..lets see what happens...
Cool, 30 years ago most of the good weed in my area came from Oregon. Oregon is ripe for the picking.
Ditto, hope we can rock it this time. I'd heard a lot of discussion after the 2012 elections about whether Oregon would try again in 2014. A lot of people were speculating that waiting until 2016 might be best because more voters come out during a presidential election and it would allow two extra years of fundraising and creating awareness. But hell, we came so close last time, and it sounds like the effort is much more well-coordinated this time around. Let's do it, Oregon!
Just make sure they allow you to grow guys. Tell them to leave the medical community alone and not group the 2 together. Maybe another 1 down only 47 to go
just as long as Paul Stanford does not get involved with his THC foundation crap.... if he does expect to see Washington like regulations & taxes, just coupled with cronyism "good ole boy style" .
this is a very very bad attitude. after alcohol prohibition was ended it still took damn near 2 decades for a US citizen to be able to brew their own beer legally lets not repeat the past.
Sure kid. Someday you'll realize what this is really about - a skillful game of who's going to make the money. They're out to stick it in your ass selling you $3 worth of weed for $60, yet you could still face prosecution for growing?
people have waited 70 years to go get that weed legally, maybe some have been saving that long. they will gladly pay 60 an eighth. some people think weed is from another planet and only passed down from space men, that is how accessible it is in their minds instead of just a plant that grows in the yard mostly unhindered by the elements. your 3$ estimate is high in my opinion!
last time with OCTA 2012 I had folks, here on GC, telling me.."don't worry we'll get the bumps worked out in legislation" .. funny how that worked for the citizens and medical patients of Washington.
Be careful what you wish for. Medical marijuana is doing just fine in Oregon. Any 20 year old with "pain" can get a recommendation. If you pass recreational laws, the Feds will force you to regulate MMJ and it wont be pretty. Recreational laws are going to destroy medical marijuana and jack up the prices (at least for the next few years, prices will eventually drop). Just my opinion...they said I-502 wouldn't touch RCW 69.51a in WA. Now look what's happening. They are amending almost every part of RCW 69.51a.
Amen. If you want it bad...you'll get it BAD! And once it's in you'll never get it changed. Only connected people will get vendor licenses...and once those dollars get into cash addicted politicians pockets NOTHING will change for the better. Do it RIGHT the first time, or push it back until you can get the support to do it right.
