Opionions on transplanting in the ground now

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by cardcon, Aug 3, 2019.

  1. Hi,
I have a clone that I rooted just in water and transplanted in a 3 gal smart pot at the end of June and its been sitting on my deck ever since.
It is about 18" tall now, I am in Michigan so I am expecting my in ground plants will start flowering in the next few weeks. I am just wondering should I put this one in the ground now or just let it flower in the 3 gal pot as I am using all my larger 10 gal pot now. I have 4 in the ground now the rest in pots.

    Thanks

  2. I would bury it if you have a good spot and some good soil. Couldn't hurt as long as it's a gentle transplant. Some of my friends are still burying plants... Just my 2cents

  3. I don't grow outdoors to know how the plants react to transplanting into the ground.....so you have to take my opinion with a grain of salt....but I would leave it be....is the soil its in now from your ground...or soil you bought?

  4. Its just in Fox farms Happy frog now. My garden has pretty good soil its a white widow and its sister that is in the ground is about 6 1/2 ' right now.

  5. I'd bury it. Dunno if I'm right or wrong, but that's what I'd do.

  8. Well I planted it in my garden today last fall i got my garden all set with compost and such. I have had 2 Northern Lights and 2 White Widows in there since May and they are very healthy(all around 6' or more) as well as a bunch of tomatoes, peppers and peas.
This clone was just a last min kind of deal I wanted to see it I could clone one in just water by the window. And today when I transplanted it I put another 100lbs of cow shit on top of my garden other than a couple 100lbs of cow shit I don't really feed them.
