Long story short I had kinda a crazy morning fighting with my chem professor and then fighting with my parents a lil bit....you know how it goes sometimes i'm sure but anyhoo I raged out for a lil and punched a hole in the wall. BTW I live in an apartment so i guess I could put in a work order lol?? idk i'm baked now tho!!! any advice?
what a pussy hole... anyways Cut a square around it, measure the square, and buy the size of drywall. Put it into the slot, and dry wall putty it, smooth it and texture it.

That looks like its just a knuckle hole right? You'd be fine just filling it with joint compound. It's a big enough whole though that the joint compound will shrink, so you'd want to fill it and let it dry. A day later it'll likely shrink in just a tad so top it with a thin coat (if using joint compound you would want to thin it with water till its toothpaste like in consistency) and let that dry. If you need just lightly sand it and you can paint it if you wanted, in an apt you are prob fine leaving it.
