ONgoing struggle with YELLOW LEAVES

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by djam2020, Apr 20, 2008.

  1. Wat up, I got four females in a 600 watt hps flowering room. Im using regular potting soil. THey have been flowering for four weeks.
One of the four females is doing great, no yellow leaves, and the buds are developing fast, the other three how ever have that yellowish tint appearing in the bottom leaves and working its way up the plant. THe leaves are not a flat yellow but instead more of a tinge that seems to be spreading and the tips of the leaves are starting to bend inward. I KNOW YELLOW LEAVES Are A SIGN OF NITROGEN DEFICENCY, but I have been fertilizing with organic fertilizer (7 percent nitrogen in it )once a week for the past two weeks and also been spraying with micro nutrients once every two. I dont know what the deal is I really want to maxamize my harvest, what are some problems I might run into with these yellowing leave issues and how can I repair the situation. Will the yellowing leaves effect the bud growth?

  2. how long have they been flowering? Yellowing leaves (N def) is normal during mid to late flower.

  3. FOur weeks. Will this effect bud development?

  4. Do you know the strain of the plants that are yellowing and flowering times for your strain? Also have you checked the PH lately?

  5. Na, I havn't checked the ph yet... There's no tellin man. I jus hope the situation doesnt get worse and end up fucking shit up.

  6. def check your ph cuz it can cause lockouts, feeding them more will only make it worse

you want to check the ph of the runoff as well as the ph of the water in

    good luck!

  7. Yeah thanks bro. i got some pics in my gallery of my grow room, but it hard to see the leaves. I got a ph test kit today and hope to check tha shit. Since Ive takin those pics the leaves have worsend but bud developemnt is doin great.

  8. SOunds like you might be over feeding them. Are the tips looking burned as well as curling in? Did you say you were foiliar feeding them? You said you were "spraying" them with micro nutes. You also don't want to be foliar feeding them during flowering, might cause mold. Also when you were foliar feeding them were they still under the light when they were wet? That can cause problems too.

  9. yeah bro I checked the ph of the run off. Its nutreal (7) ( unless I fucked it up). I also quit fertalizing and spraying cuz Im banking on harvesting in about two weeks. The leaf problem remains the same.
What suggestions do youhave about that ph level? I havnt had time to look into that yet, Ive been busy latley.
