    Some of them are some of them aren't. Check the stickies in the growing sections on how to recognize and germinate viable seeds.

    You can plant bag seeds, I've done it, but only one sprouted and actually grew. You can germinate them first to find out if they are active seeds, otherwise just put them in a cup with soil.
