this particular style of 95 watt cfl is sold extensively in B.C. hydroponic applications and has been used horizontaly. No overheating has been seen because of a space between the ballast and the bulb. A 6400k is available for growing stage and a 2700k for the flowering stage...check it out...
I am starting to think your pushing that site pretty hard,,if they work for you great,,and thanx for sharing info,,but they are in comparison very expensive trade off for the results of HID to the grow,,,and before you think I dont get it,,,I surely do,,,I used to grow flouro for many many years. example,,,,70w hps,,,6300 lm,,90 lm per watt,,2100k...less than $70 whole unit..
