you know what would kick ass? being able to just grow one big huge, like 2ft tall and 1 ft in diameter bud, thats what. like no plant leaves or anything, just a big ass bud.like how they graft cuttings from mature orange trees into new ones, so they can grow fruit straigt away, well, take a forming bud off of a plant, and graft it into a left over stump of a plant. and just have a single bud growing out of the ground. now all we need to figure out is how to get the bud to grow to a huge size? like get the hormone or whatever, and keep injecting it into the plant, so its still developing floweres and thc, but in veg mode so it will keep on growing. but think about it, whouldnt it be awesome to have a bug th size of a bean bag chair? *edit* non auto flowering lowryder type strain would probably be perfect* ;DS <marquee>stoned</marquee>
It would still grow leaves you could put like 2 different plants together them seed them you would have 3 strains. i dont know
start the plant under 12/12, let it show sex and start to bud (if its fem!). then after 4weeks back into veg, then when u get new growth back into flower etc etc..... if u used a single stem plant like morocan then it shud just grow into 1 big donkeys dick of a bud. using a clone might b a better idea. wud still get leaf but not a lot. <marquee>sober</marquee> <marquee>but stupid</marquee>
just rim the leaves, but leave a few big fan leaves, just for so momre photosenthisis. i was thinkin about the flower/veg/flower/veg/flower thing, but thought that half way through it could go herm on ya' and that would suck. another idea i had was t grow just the female flowers on their own, like a ground cover. ya know, kinda like a bunch of little mushrooms on the soil. just a sobering thought
it shudnt herm aslong as the change is a full change not just messing with the lights 4 a week each time. a stable strain wud b a good idea tho. i do think trimming the leaves off is a bad idea. i know its done in some scrogs but even then its a risky thing to do and is only done when the grow is really really close. mushrooms. this idea i like. root clones under 12/12 by the time they have rooted they shud b starting to flower and might stay short and squat with small leaves but hopefully nice buds. sea of green gone mad! ideal 4 small lamps or fluros. the 1 big bud thing...... mold!
u gotta go look at these plants john, ur gotta wet yourself. http://www.originalseeds.com./indexmain.htm find the lowryder seeds and have a look at the pics...
$130 canadian for 10 seeds. i must have them!! i'm getting some, need to save money! one problem though, how to keep mothers? quote from their site---- Newly released to the world, this unique variety will dramatically expand the range of possibilities for aspiring, amateur and professional Cannabis growers and breeders. Aptly named for its low profile (both literally and figuratively), Lowryder was developed for extreme rapid growth (8-9 weeks from seed to bud!), uniquely short height (will grow no taller than 12 in!), and amazing versatility. Passing directly from the seedling to the flowering stage, Lowryder altogether does away with the vegetative growth stage. In other words, you plant it, it sprouts, grows a set of leaves, then immediately and automatically begins flowering. As a result, it is the quickest, most compact, and most easily concealed plant available. Indoors, Lowryder completely eliminates the need to induce flowering by reduction of day-light hours; indeed, it eliminates the need for a timer, period. Yes, it will grow consistently well and finish under 24 hours of light, from sprouting to harvest, in eight weeks. You can achieve similar results with 18 or 12 hours of light per day, if you like to give your room time to cool down, for example - 18 hours straight through until harves is recommended. The point is, with Lowryder, there is no need for a change in the light period to induce flowering, nor is it necessary to have separate vegetative and flowering rooms. Outdoors, Lowryder can easily be kept concealed because of its tiny size and early flowering, whether planted in fields, in gardens, on patios or even on windowsills. When planted in the spring, it will produce ripe bud earlier than any available variety. It can be planted, grown and harvested several times per season (in one's backyard for instance ;-)), without attracting undue attention. Due to its lightning-fast life cycle (8-9 weeks), Lowryder can be planted up to early August. It can be easily and succesfully grown in the most unlikely locations, from Alaska and Canada's Arctic (Lowryder will flower and finish in the continuous light of Arctic summers) to the urban apartment balconies of the world! Having no vegetative stage, Lowryder can't be cloned or regenerated, for all intents and purposes. Replanting seeds is a must. But then, this plant's unique advantages do away with any reason for cloning in the first place. In any case, seeds are much easier to transport and handle and have a higher success rate. To complement its unique characteristics, Lowryder's final appearance, taste, and high, have nothing to envy of the finer weed varieties, an excellent smoke with high potency and amazing resin production. You almost have to see it grow before your own eyes to believe it, but the proof is here. Lowryder is 100% stable and reliable in its properties, a product of nine generations of selective breeding, and is non-deviant and hermaphrodite-free. Lowryder claims direct descendance from superior William's Wonder and Northern Lights no.2 indica, while keeping the identity of its third, more exotic ruderalis-type ancestor a secret. Lowryder's unique genetic and practical advantages insure tha it will find an important niche in the world of fine Cannabis.
i thought ud like them. i dunno y ud wanna keep a mother, just let a few go to seed and ur away. im gonna get a few of these seeds and have 2 grows on the go. 1st grow will b just females and the 2nd will b the males and a few females and grow for seed. thats gonna b my mother. any extra seed is gonna b given to m8s or scatterd in the park lol.
lmao...god damn i gotta me some of them as well........i can grow those in the back of the apartmenrs....lol........or even better on the window ledge......lol...............Peace out.........Sid
i dunno, just dont like to plant from seed. oeve thought i could grow a gell of alot of them, i just dont like the idea ofhaving to plant from seed. i'd have to setup a box for producing seed. and when you plant in your regular box its gonna have males in it, taking uo valueable space. now that i'm sobered up, i dont think that i'm gonna pay $100 for some plants that i cant even clone, cause i hate males. maybe if i have a $100 extra lying around, i'll get them. and try to take a few cuttings off each plant and try to cleone them. its worth a try.
when u do can u let me know bout it, im gonna b getting some of these soon aswell. soon as i sort out a c/card to use and a safe addy. thanx.
i dont think u can look at this plant like u do mj. the way im thinking of growing them is under 18/6 in my clone/veg room. start a few seeds then if i remove a unwanted male i just plant another seed, dont have to worry bout start times cus they dont need a change of light, the males i do get i'l put by the kitchen window outta sight but in light, males dont need a lot of light. thats my pollon then i'll just bring the odd fem to it to get seed. no messing about with dark/light cloning etc, just pop a seed in the dirt and away u go. i think it will b a nice little bonus along side my normal grow, i got free space in my veg box. wud never b my main crop tho.
Woah, just read that LowRyder description and all I have to say is wow, simply wow...Right now I don't know if I can trust it, but I know it would make growing in stealth environments ALOT easier!!!!!! Obliv, please make a journal of your grow, haha! I want to know if these are for real and if they are I am going to shat myself and plant damn near 50 of them in my closet, hehe.
its a shame you didnt clone her before you flowered her all the way out.... couldve saved lots of time by not having to wait for seedlings. clones are so much faster. It is pretty though.
he hasnt grown them yet, were discussing the possibilitys. and if you read the lowryder description, you'd see that they cannot be cloned.
Thats a bummer you cant clone it, sounds like JACK HERER- its a picky one as well. Some strains are just picky like that. Theres something suspicious to me about an organism which cannot be cloned modified or genetically altered....hahaha
