Sometimes when I'm blasted, I'll jus' go over to the radio, and go to the first oldies station I find. Good ol rock and roll, the way it was suppose to be. I like newer music, but tuning into Led Zepllin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, etc blows my mind. What other bands that aren't part of the new generation all you's like to listen to when your lifted.
hells yes, led zepplin, pink floyd, allen parsons project, jimi hendrix, ac/dc, bob marley, bob seger, steppenwolf,GEORGE THOROGOOD ONE BOURBON, ONE SCOTCH, AND ONE BEER!!..HELL YEAH, bb king, eric clapton, loads and loads more
Like last wednesday when I visted my dealer, he was smoking a half an ounce with this other dood listening to all this early 60s music. Of course I joined them, and soon I was just as bent as them. It's really funny though, when you change the lyrics of some of those classic rock and roll lyrics into something hysterically funny.
zepplin and deep purple are badass.... stairway to heaven is amazing. some other good old stuff is Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, The Clash, and the ramones (lol dont ask)
it's almost all i listen to.... allman bro's, csny, ccr, led zeppelin, doors, floyd, and the list goes on... it's my love and phishhead's gettin' jealous xo~
lol yeah i was thinking the drifters, temptations, etc. not classic rock! i'm 25 too, maybe we're older than we think?!
Led Zeppelin!!!! But if you want to listen to some classic psychedelic rock then listen to Gong.I had to have the old stuff ordered but I got alot off of Napster when it was running hot. Here's a link to the "herstery" of what Gong really is! http://www.planetgong.co.uk/mizmaze.html Click on "code glossary" at the bottom.
Damn, that ain't the oldies that's classic rock! You want to hear some oldies and get stoned, I highly recommend Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Its freaking trippy. All that old 60's is great stoner music, The Mammas and the Pappas, etc... BUT Solid Gold Soul is the way to go. Just some of that Pre Funk sound is great Commodores, O'Jays, Average White Band, The Gap Band, etc............
Classic Rock kicks ass. I'm 16 and I love it. For all of you in the Toronto area Q107 is a kick ass station. Especially Sunday from 9am to 9pm.
hay im only 16 to i like all kinds of roke my favert is ac/dc backin black got love it and rob zombyand yah it ant rock it is rap but wutang
i know what you mean. i'm 25 too, and i thought i was still in my prime lol but we should give xpilicit some credit for trying. at least he's listening and not trashing
Janis Joplin and The Doors are two of my favorite. But some of my friends think I need counseling because I have this obsession with the Bee Gees that they say isnt healthy. They break my Saturday Night Fever soundtrack about every other month and I go out and buy a new one. But I have to say, one of the highlights of 2 summers ago for me was getting high with Dr. Hook before he played his concert. Me and 3 of my best friends got to party with him and the rest of the band after the show too. On The Cover Of The Rolling Stones never sounded so good.
Hey guys...all datt stuff koo so whats up with the 25 year old thing lol getting old well yeah the temptations are sweet lol!!! but led zepplin van hallen gratefull dead black sabbath but they aint really "old old" live the samples bob marley's got sum hendrix bob dylan lol !!!!!! n much much more...but back to my smoke... GROWW ONN-peace o u t
Joplin is an absolute favorite of mine, good to know there are some fans out there still! My bf's jaw will drop when he finds out you got to hang out with Dr. Hook. I'll have him drop in here & tell his dad's story about meeting the dudes from Dr.Hook (or was it Cheech & Chong? STML I will have to figure that one out when he wakes up) I love classic rock, the oldies rock the boat too. Music is timeless, if you ask me, if it's truly GOOD.
Ganjaphish.........tell your b/f if he wants a pic of Dr. Hook smoking weed with us then I'll send him one. I even have about 5 one dollar bills signed by him if he wants one. Dr. Hook does know how to party........I'll give the band that much. And Janis Joplin is my favorite.........I never get tired of listening to her. Thats the CD in the cd player of my car right now. Everytime I drink southern comfort, I play her music because that was her favorite drink.
that must have been a wicked party with Dr. Hook!! have a few good memories of smoking and the good Dr. very cool for you, flowerchild, very cool. i have been listening to Janis Joplin forever. i think i've got her on 3 different mediums - lp, tape, cd. the good ones never die.
