Quite enjoy taking my readings this way, instead of the digital way even it's more than likely less accurate

 

For checking ph and nitrate. Found it amongst my stuff instead of using digital you use a powder, liquid and then just shake it with the run off from the plant.

 

I'm doing soil mate hydro is the next step for me
