Oklahoma got it done today on SQ 788

  1. Oklahoma got it done today on SQ 788. The people of the state of Oklahoma voted today on SQ 788 a medical marijuana state question, that the governor put on the primary ballot instead of the midterm general in November. Oklahoma has historically had low voter turn out during the primary voting season, but this time there were record numbers of voters turned out the vote on this medical marijuana question. When Oklahoma will begin having sex stores and regulations and rules on it will be determined by the governor and state legislators. The petition was done as an initiative petition, which means the state legislators can mess with it. Like the state of Florida legislators and the state of Arkansas have mashed with their citizens petitions that were approved and both of those states

  2. I voted for 788 :)

Hopefully, the legislators involved (including Governor Fallin) won't take FOREVER working out the kinks. We are more than ready for medical cannabis in Oklahoma! There are already a few medical clinics and doctors who are advertising that they are going to be doing cards / licenses.

  3. dont wait for dispensaries then. Get the doctor reccomendation as soon as docs are taking patients, the law says with card from doctor your legal to grow 6 mature(flowering) plants and 6 seedling/clone(veg) ,, it will be that much more satisfying than buying at the very high price the shops will put on because of it being a new industry there

  4. Hopefully, it doesn't meet the same opposition as arkansas has. At every turn, it gets pushed back and shoved away.

  5. In Florida we had to go as far as making this an actual constitutional amendment. Even with this the legislature is still fighting both the citizens and courts with every chance they get.

  6. Sounds like they are already pushing back hard. No consumable flower can be sold at dispensaries and the bud tender has to be a licensed pharmacist

  7. The central states are always trying to fight back against what the people want. It's like they're their own country with socialist morals. Take Arkansas. They passed it but have been fought tooth and nail by everyone. It has pushed the legalization back just because they wont let any dispensaries in. It's going to take time before everything is legalized. Mainly because we have 80% 70 year old politicians. Their views are as old as they are and they don't like change. It's a losing battle for them and they know it. The only thing keeping weed from being legal country wide at this point is old views, old news and old people.

Age shouldnt be a thing we look at when deciding leaders but currently, due to all the ''old school'' judges, senators, presidents!, etc, we have to put up with this bullshit.
