So basically they are collecting signatures before Jan. 1, 2015 to make Oklahoma the 23rd MMJ state

Oklahoma has some have the harshest MJ laws in the nation.  It would be extremely important to help out our fellow Oklahomans and OK blades and give them some form of legal protection.

Repost this on other forums, websites, twitter, etc.

This is extremely important for the MJ Movement.

    Here's the website

  2. If you haven't read the MN bill, do so. It doesn't help patients.
Who's behind the OK push? A few "advocacy groups" are pushing all manner of laws that act as legal roadblocks more than helping patients.

Dude you're not welcome in this thread.

All these laws are compromises for both sides but ultimately you should view them as a step in the right direction.

If this law just helped even 5 people I would still view it as better than nothing.

And if there were thousands left out in the cold, you'd still be OK with it? Interesting perspective. One that defies all logic.
Know what else defies all logic? Prohibition.

By the way, you're parroting the exact line of all these progressive politicians who say if even ONE person is aided, its a great law. So congrats.

  5. Take your arguments back to the MN threads please.

  6. Like it or not floating_by, the fact that many Oklahomans are standing up and saying, "YES! We do want mmj as an alternative medication." is a BIG DEAL in our state. We happen to be one of the most bass ackwards states in the whole group of 50. Always bottom 5 of what you don't want to be, education,  and always top 5 of stuff you don't want to be, obesity %, etc.

If we can even get mmj as a law, we can continue from that point and move forward.

there are people on these boards that clearly don't understand the concept of leverage.

if you have nothing it's very hard to demand everything. when you have some sort of legalization people can start pressuring for more, the more states will have mmj laws in-place the more likely federal government is going to have to cave in.
it's a slow process... and we are facing road blocks all the time. still i feel that things are on the right track.

  8.
Exactly. I pretty much check MPP every weekday.  There's little bit of progress every week.

  9. Oh, MPP tells you everything you need to know, do they? That much was obvious. Ok, eat that up and mark the "progress" each week. Too bad its special interest progress masked as "activism" but you feel like you're supporting the good fight, so that's all that matters. Details be damned.

  10. Shit bill that I won't be signing.. Author is a vapor chain store owner that put in ridiculous requirements for retail services. Second petition may be better but it's still shitty..

  11.
    I have read the bill.

Very simple read.  I don't know what you're bitching about, except maybe the $100k capital requirement.

What is it you despise about THIS proposed legislation?

  12. Anybody within 30 mile radius of Hydro, Oklahoma that wants to sign it, just PM me. I'll bring it to you. You must be a registered Oklahoma voter and able to vote (no felons, unless you've been pardoned).

  13. Well, for one, its so open-ended, you have absolutely, positively NO idea what the end result would look like.

User licences are lifetime licenses regardless of status of health condition? In what world is that going to fly? Its like they made up the worst garbage of a bill they could to parse it down from there. No way in hell anything resembling that piece of paper is going to end up being law. Its a legal placeholder with which they can make up the details later. Notice a pattern yet state to state? YOu should have.

  14. And given your state is bottom 5 in virtually everything, you'll be using what, exactly, to leverage your desires?
If they won't even educate people, why would they just give them the potentially most lucrative disease cure man will ever know? Think about it.

  15. ^^^ angry about potential legalization efforts.... :confused_2:

  16. Keep up the good work, don't be discouraged by those with a hidden agenda..... :yay:  :gc_rocks:

I am a very small part of the larger oklahomansforhealth campaign. Even getting this item on TV is a huge deal for us and yes we have been getting evening news media coverage. The idea is hopefully someone who is ignorant to the benefits of cannabis will be motivated to google info on mmj.
Haters gonna' hate, lovers gonna' love and the quitters going to quit. We will keep pushing on, 1 signature at a time.

  18. Hey floating by dude ur kinda coming across as hostile man just chill out and smoke some man

  19. Who in their right mind wouldn't be? The prohibitionists are the benefactors. Yeah, let's reward them for decades of abuse.
This isn't about fighting "progress." This is about actually wanting to see some that isn't a special interests funnel into their greedy mitts.
BIG difference. One that people really seem to struggle to grasp here.
