Ok I have 2 600w phantom's and I need to know what timer will work good and cause no failures and I read it can produce up to like 9 amps each so should I get a bigger breaker to power everything ( I have a15 amp in there)
Not sure about the timers, you can get a decent mechanical hard wire from grainger or the like. Yet to see one fail that wasn't user error. But I wouldn't just drop a 20 amp breaker in with out knowing a few things... Like what's the gauge of the wire? Im hoping its copper with a earth ground. How far is the run of wire from the breaker?
I believe I would either add another 15 amp breaker to the room, or tie into a separate breaker section within the existing wiring if you have one that has low use. As djseibert68 said, I wouldn't drop a 20 amp breaker in without making sure your existing wiring can handle it. Even if you did go with a 20, at 18 amps used for lights, you only have 2 amps left for fans and anything else you need to run.Two 15 amp breakers would give you an extra 12 left over, in case you have something other than one room on that original breaker run.
