    just watched american beauty for the first time:eek: and im confused about the ending..the mom had the gun at the shooting range,therefor she bought it? but when the dad get shot who fuckin did it the kids dad??

    yeah i think it's generally accepted that the dude's dad did it.

    The Dad, the neighbors Dad, obviously had closet homosexual feelings. He comes on to spacey, when spacey rejects him he can't take it and comes back later and kills him.
