aight well i finally decided to grow, but first off i germinated my seeds and planted them yesterday, the soil i had to use was kinda dry so i watered them until water was above the soil and i have holes on the bottom of the cups for the water to drain, soil still looked kinda dry so watered the same today. i didnt think about it but is there anychance i overwatered? also how often to water before/after i see sprouts (also i have 8 plants going). ok next thing, its warm in the day and cold at night here, im doing outdoor growing, but at night i came up with an idea. my garage has flouros all on the cieling, if i keep those lights on all night with the plants on a freezer and have a halogon lamp(puts off heat) kinda close to em to keep em sorta warm. is this a good idea? also im growing outdoor so what does everyone do about rain?
well i suppose you could do that at first.........just so that your plant gets started a bit earlier........your plants might stretch a bit to much thus making the stem a bit week...so watch out for that.....i dont keep my lights on 24 hrs coz i beleave mj plants like to have a little sleep at some stage.....i have read of growers giving there plants 24hrs of light early on......good luck....laters.
keep the soil a little moist all the time, but yeah you can overwater so watch out for that. How cold is it at night? Plants can deal with it being pretty cold. And you don't have to worry much about rain. While the plants are small you might want to take them in during a storm.
about 45 at night sometimes high 30's never below freezing the hardest part to me is getting it started i know once it sprouts i can keep them growin. how often to watter before sprouts?
put your finger a inch into the soil, if its damp don't water, if its dry give it a little. Check once a day, don't water if you don't have to. Oh and i wouldn't worry then about your plants being too cold.
I would keep them under the garage flouros and the halogen, the cold will kill them at night,as you say once its sprouts, better to not over water... you should be able to judge when it needs some water..regarding rain havent grown outdoors but sure unoit will give a good bit of advice......
