ok.. getting my card.. but first need a little help

    ok so..just for all you guys that say im gettin a card just to get one..no its not actually true.. i've been to several doctors and professionals and psychiatrists and all this bullshit..so not geting the card is not an option..but before i do that

    i just wanted to know..how does it work? like do i just go to a doctor and pay him hundred something dollars and talk to him and show him my medical records and if he thinks its worht it he'll give me a recommendation?

    also.. are doctors covered in medical plans and shit? or is it all uninsured and you gatta pay all and the doctor recieves all..not like goin to a physical therapist where you gatta pay like 20$ every visit..just the money upfront for the appointment and then another bunch of money for the rec?

    also.. i live in SoCal..anyone here know any good legit docs? with not too high of a price and is pretty reputatable?

    also... what happens if you get pulled over and you have a meds all in your car AND your recS? can you go home or will the cop fuck with you and take you to the court or something?

    because i've been caught twice w/o a liscense and first time the cop took all my nugs and my bong and my piece and all my papes and lighter..second tiem i got fined..got a ticket and was handcuffed escorted to myhouse.

    but then again i never had more than an 8th when they found me..hehe

    I don't mean to come off as dickish, but honestly going to a doctor and psychiatrist doesn't give you a legal right to get a card. You need to be suffering from a condition that can be treated by the proper type of marijuana. Certain strains are used specifically for certain diseases, illnesses, issues etc. It's not like you walk in say "i want a pound of purple haze" and walk out because that may not be the right type of bud to solve your problem (which honestly doesn't seem that you suffer from any that would require a daily dose of pot). I believe the state sets the price for all doctors on what they charge to give a card to a patient. I'm not necessarily saying you don't need the weed to treat you illness, but you didn't provide any facts or information that would make me feel otherwise.

    It's also not a get out of jail free card. You can be fired by your job if they drug test, you can be kicked out/suspended, etc of your college/high school for the use of marijuana, and you certainly can still be arrested for DUI. So if you think having this card will allow you to get baked and drive around with an oz and bong in your backseat thing again.

    If you are trying to get a card just for the sake of knowing you will be getting good bud, weighed properly, for a fair price you are abusing the system that people have been working for decades to get put into place. Abusing it screws more people over then you can even believe.

    With all that being said, nobody on this site is going to assist you in getting a Medical Marijuana Card. If you suffer from an illness that can be treated by MJ, you will be given a card by your doctor. If you haven't gotten one yet from one of the three different doctors you said you visit, odds are, you don't need it.

    Good for you on planning to get your card.
    Generally and very abbreviated..

    A qualified patient (ie state mj ID card OR verifiable rec) may transport up to 8 oz. of marijuana without being arrested or having medicine (or paraphernalia) seized ...
    In theory. You start carrying a bunch they may start looking to call you a dealer..

    If your rec cant be verified or if you carry more than 8 oz (even though the limit is declared unconstitutional, its still a guideline police can and do use when deciding to arrest/seize) or they have probable cause for other things, you may find yourself arrested and using affirmative defense of being a MMJ patient.

    Basically, you'll be good to go most places, carry your rec and dont do anything stupid, and keep it to personal use quantities you'll be good to go and ... No one will mess with you or your "nugs" :)

    and plus..how the fuck am i going to get a medical marijuana license under a psychiatrist and under a physical therapist/orthopedic surgeon? dumbass

    i sought professionals because at that time i didn't understand medical marijuana or fuck even my problem at all, and i wanted to know which..if it were taht case.. what kind of bud would help me with my problem.

    yea i know there's many people..fuck i bet my old dealer said he just had headaches or was just bullshiting to get his card, but from me and what i can say, i can say i truly believe..like people i've seen.. marijuana can help me get over my problems, even if its a band-aid sort of deal. because i've done prescription drugs, and frankly i want to keep my liver and honestly dont want to get a addicted to those drugs, because a lot of ppl in my family are addicted to those dam prescrip drugs which is rediculous because they can't do anything without it.. can't go movies w/o it, can't go running w/o it, can't take a fuckin shit without it.

    so all inall i know that med marjuana would probably be right for me..and if it proves out that it doesnt (which it still has proved to be helpful) then fuck it, marijjuana isn't for me, because why take something if it doesn't help you at all?...well drinking doesn't help at all and people do it a lot.. so nevermind on my other statement


    and yea i know you can be fired from a job, by getting this card, i dont feel all of a sudden like god. im not going to go to a police station and just blaze thick just cause i have a card.. if and when i get a card, it'll be for medicinal use...obviously because of the medical license. and how would you know what is "good enough" for weed if you dont undergo it yourself? do you stay awake countless hours of the night just staring at the ceiling?


    look.. i know that you are trying to be that person to say "o headaches aren't medicinal marijuana standard and you are just trying to make any excuse to just blaze wherever and pick up danks all the time" then i'll have to say, fuck you cause firstly, i can pick up danks wherever i want, and second, u dont know me and my shits more problematic then jsut some headache or soem card that allows me to buy marijuana without worrying about getting rolled up.


    all i asked was, does anyone know of a doctor with a good reputation and that doesn't cahrge that much.

    if u can answer that, then be my guest and i appologize for being rude

    if not.. then gtfo and go tell someone that thinks his little broken nail deserves a medical license not to get one.

    :hello:smart move! get your rec. & keep your stash in trunk.also it's not abusing the system if u have any of many legit reasons i.e. stress,insomnia,depression...etc. your regular DR. can write you a recomendation for free this is all u need 2 b legal:smoking::smoking:pm me if u cant find a dr. ;)

    There are lots of legit doctors down in SoCal. If you are in the san diego area try ModernMedicine, MC2, just to name a few.

    actually you can totally walk into a dispensary and ask for whatever the hell strain of weed you want.

    there is no set thing where you can only buy certain strains for certain ailments - that... is just one of the most retarded things i've ever read on here, i'm sorry.

    OP, you might want to look into MediCann... bring in a diagnosis from one of the doctors you went to, $150 - sit down and talk to the doc and they'll give you the rec right there.

    First I'd like to state that i didn't say what i wanted to correctly. Yes you can technically walk in and get anything you want, but i was trying to imply that certain strains are mainly used for certain illnesses, or are recommended for such.

    First off, I'm not a "dumb-ass". I was simply speaking my mind, you came and made a thread on a MMJ part of the forum saying you stuffer from "shit that's more problematic then some headaches." Aside from the fact that headaches could get you a MMJ card, I understand that everyone doesn't use perfect spelling, grammar etc, but you were asking for help about MMJ, your original post involved cursing, and then in your response to my other post you cursed more. I never said you don't suffer from something that can be treated by MMJ, but by the way you made the original post and conducted yourself it came off like you were (don't take this offensively), a likely 18 year old, who's looking to snag some good pot. I'm 18, I can't get MMJ because i live in NY, but i have family and friends who do get it in Michigan and New Jersey, nevertheless if i wanted to make a thread or post about MMJ, i would try and post more formally and use more details then "i suffer from shit." Then there would be no mix up, there would be no problems, and people would be more likely to help you.

    Lastly, you said you had been to many doctors, so assumed you had been to your physician. They're the people who could get you the notes, again the price should be the same.

    I wasn't trying to start an argument or debate with you about what you suffer from. If you suffer from a legitimate condition and you and your doc both feel like you can benefit from the use of MMJ, then good for you, go for it.

    Well you can get the cards now at least, she has one anyway. I've seen it. She tends to show it off like she is untouchable. Suffers from insomnia, I don't really know the details on the entire MMJ system in either Mich or NJ, just what I have heard and read.

    EDIT: They have to have it all set up by the end of June apparently. 6 months.

    That's impossible because they don't even have everything ironed out TO give anyone a card. Sorry to say this, but your friend is a liar.

    And there is no way NJ will give out cards for "insomnia" - they will be one of the strictest states in re: to MMJ.... I'm thinking cancer patients and people with severe illnesses....

    no problem. I'm from NJ and I would be the first to know when they got their shit in order - I have some family members with severe issues (one has seizures, etc.. and weed is the only thing that helps) that are eagerly awaiting this being rolled out.

    its not the first time i had to tell someone they were full of it over this NJ MMJ stuff :) hah
