Come on guys! All you need is just 679 signatures! Ask your friends if they have signed.:passtheshit:
You have just 10 days to get it done! This is VERY doable! :yay:
But it's also yours to lose out on and miss your chance to legalize, if you just kick back and do nothing!

A campaign to ask Ohio voters to legalize recreational marijuana falls short -- for now
A campaign to ask Ohio voters to legalize recreational marijuana falls short -- for now

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A proposal to legalize adult use of marijuana in Ohio narrowly fell short Tuesday of the signatures it needed to make the fall statewide ballot. Backers will have 10 days, or until Aug. 4, to gather more.

Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose determined the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol was short by just 679 signatures of the 124,046 signatures required to put the question before voters on Nov. 7.

Tom Haren, a coalition spokesperson, said he was confident the group could find the signatures by the Aug. 4 deadline. “It looks like we came up a little short in this first phase, but now we have 10 days to find just 679 voters to sign a supplemental petition" (snipped)

Kids, I'll be 76 next week, I don't even know anyone in Ohio, and I'm in California, so why am I trying to get cannabis legal in Ohio? It's just so YOU can have the same freedom that I do! :GettingStoned:
You can download the petition here - https://justlikealcohol.com/

  2. Yes I would sign it but can't find a place to do it.
They turned in over 220.000 signatures and they say petty much half of them are not valid that's just crazy I don't believe it.
The man said 679 signatures will be easy to get so let's see.
I know a lot of people who would sign it but no one came around here or is there a place on the web site to sign.
I sure hope we don't get screwed because I'm tired of growing a couple of plant's and worrying about if you will get busted.

  6. Granny,

I know this is going to sound weird but, are the legislatures increasing the amount as they go? Because it looks like they are increasing the amount when they bring the previously asked-for amount. I don't know, it just could be my imagination. But last time it seems, they wanted 220,000 signatures when they brought over the 200,000+ asked for/thought that was the amount. And now they are saying they still need 679 more? When that amount is reached, are they going to say, nope you don't have enough?

  7. No they only needed 124.046 signatures from valid voters and from at least 44 different counties and they did 48 counties and turned in over 220.000 signatures about double what they needed but when they checked the signatures against the registration forms of the counties about half was not usable because the persons address didn't match or wasn't on the voters registration. So hopefully they can get the 679 they need in 10 days.

  8. I hope so too. Maybe when Ohio goes legal it will put some pressure on Indiana to get some form of medical cannabis legalized. I know it's wishful thinking.

  9. Pretty weird they got over 700.000 for the abortion signatures and not one got thrown out.
It's all about politics to have over 100.000 thrown out on the recreational weed signatures.
They better get the 679 they need to put it on the ballot.

  10. Looking forward to it, but not getting my hopes up yet. I actually voted against the last legalization effort because it was F*cked. Made about 6 people rich and fuck the public at large. This one sounds much better and actually has support from the weed community, which the last one didn't. Time will tell.

  11. Well they got over 6000 more signatures so now will have to have them checked and see if they got the 679 that they need for the ballot.

  12. If the No wins tonight it may be better chances for weed laws.

  13. They just said the people will be able to vote for recreational cannabis November ballot on the 7th so they got the signatures and it was enough to go forward. So let's go Ohio come out and vote yes

  14. The abortion vote will also be on the ballot on the 7th so there is going to be a big turnout so my guess would be it will pass and I can't wait. Finally be legal to grow a few plants up to 12 per household.

  15. Congrats on the win. I have decided to move back to Kentucky once the medical law goes into effect. By then I will have aged enough to apply for senior housing and hopefully get back on Medicaid.

  16. It’s a long road of course but maybe look at Disability?

  17. Drug warriors gonna drug war. If that vote in Ohio passes the opposition is threatening to win on the other end with repeals. I mean, why should voters matter?

  18. I don't think the Republicans would have the votes to repeal it.
There are some Republicans in favor for recreational weed.
Need to vote Mike dewine out of office for even saying something like that when the people have spoken about it if passes.

  19. From everything I have been reading is recreational weed for Ohio is looking good even with the Republicans and Democrats and independents, so it will be on the ballot as issue 2 which is a yes vote for everyone I know.

  20. Yep all the polls I've found seem to show it winning by a fair amount. I'm hoping that is true and not MSM BS. Should have happened years ago. Way overdue.
