officially had the worst day of the 2007 year yesterday...

so yesterday was supposed to be one of the best days of this year. i was packed up and leaving for college at 7am, for my 3rd year at college. I left on the dot and my car, although pulling nearly 2000lbs of extra weight was running great and i didnt hit any traffic...

45 minutes into the journey i hear an all too familiar POP and i know what happened right away. i somehow hit some debris in the road, maybe a stone, and it hit a piece of piping under my car that connects my turbo to the engine. well, without the piping connected, the car runs at maybe 30% efficiency... so that had to be fixed.

so for about 30 minutes i was lying under my car on the side of the interstate fixing shit. this then proceeded to happen another hour after the repair. wondering why this was all going wrong, i checked the pipe which i thought had simply come out from its coupling, but instead, the tip of the pipe had been crushed by the blow, so it was no longer round and would not fit in the coupler.

so after another hour of repair at a truck stop, i was moving again, only to have the same thing happen 20 minutes later. pulling over one last time (it had actually happened about 6 or 7 times total while i was driving) i made my last attempt at roadside repair, which failed again.

so i managed to limp my car the last 200 miles to indiana from atlanta, and as i get on campus, literally 200 feet from my building, my car stalls going up a hill and wont start up again. i am stuck in the middle of trafic and the cars dead. it ran out of gas. fucking gas guage wasnt working.

so, after pulling over 7 or so times, running out of gas in the street, i was pretty tired, not to mention id just bee on the road for 12 hours and i now had to unpack my trailor at 8pm

as soon as i get out the car, it starts pouring. fuck that.

later that night i finally get to the last box and as im lifting it, i bend down, grab a hold and as i start to lift, something in my pack pops out and pain shot up my spine. i took 3 advils and hit the sack, only to awake today to a back that is still sore... i cant move barely, it hurts to walk and i cant swivel my upper body.

and to top all this off, for a few weeks my laptops been making "the clunk of death" for any computer users who dont know what that is, its when your hardrive is failing. anyway, so today i try to get on, and what happens? the whole computers dead, couldnt even load the operating system. so i had to reformat the disc which took 4 attempts, install OS X again, which took 4 attempts and then move over all my old files, emphasis on old, as in i lost everything on my laptop, inlcuding recent artwork and financial info.

so right now, my computers running ok, but the hard drive is about to go and its pretty much useless with none of my important shit that got deleted.

i just took a vicodin for my back, thank god i have these, and im just sitting in my dorm sort of miserable at how shitty my last 2 days have been. like, this may not seem to be so shitty to anyone else, but just imagine having to repair a 200 degree hot car in 100 degree weather, laying on your back on the shoulder, trucks wizing past your head maybe a foot away at 70mph.... it sucks hard.



what makes it sort of better is i have a sick room again, my RA is the same one ive had all 3 years, and he is dope. also, there are soooo many hot girls this year, im at awe of the hotness, and that makes me smile.

but yea, im sort of depressed. none of my friends will come to my dorm because its a dorm and not a frat or appartment. they all dont want anything to do with dorm life, and this is all of my friends saying this pretty much. they are probably jsut lazy since its the first week but shit, i havent had anyone over yet, they are all too busy with frats (which all suck)

i talked to my mom whos a professional psychic healer, and she told me that astrologically, because my birth planet or something like that was alligned with the sun yesterday, yesterday was supposed to be (astrologically) the worst day of the calendar year for me, and anyone born on jan 11th. she even gave me a sort of warning before i left, and through more investigation, she said she was able to find the reason for my bad luck. idk if i beleive that, but shit, look at the proof!!

so im gonna be buying a new computer with the loan i just took out, but man, i just feel so shitty, what bad luck...

 

what happened was, the section of piping about 2 feet down from the turbo itself got hit by something, and one section of piping took such a hard hit, it bent the end of the pipe, so instead of a nice round joint, it looked like someone stuck it in a vice. first of all, it was under the car behind the bumper, so every time i had to fix it, the bumper had to come off and i had to jack up the car. the impact also took out my clamps on the joint, so i had to repair that. if i was near an autozone i would have hit it up, but i was on interstate 75 i think and there was only gas stations. it would have been easy under any other circumstances, but the fact it was on the side of the road, and i had no equipment, just tools, i had to maguiver it like hell. i was so lucky to have a spare T clamp, but that didnt even help. i hammered out the pipe as much as i could with my wrench, but it was far from perfect, and all the imperfections and dents on teh end caused it to slide out from the coupler, no matter how little boost i gave it. it fucking sucked. plus, i was towing a trailer, so i needed all the extra power my car has, since i was way over the safe towing limit for my stock engine.

 

thanks man. things are much better now i got the computer semi working again. im not even messing with installing shit, i know itll just start going nuts again. as long as i could get on the net, id be happy. im waiting to get approved for a 6000 dollar loan for this new computer and other stuff i need for school, so i need to see the day it comes in my account so i can get online and order the system in time for my class.

i love being at shcool now im back here, its just hot as hell and me cranky plus heat and things going wrong = not a happy stoner.

what is cool though, i got this ill tapestry for my dorm and a dope dali poster up and my room is the tits. single, 2 beds, 2 desks, i already heard girls walk past and comment that they want to spend the night in THAT room lol. and when i got to my dorm building, there is this hot female RA that works there and i checked her out from affar all last year, wanting to bone her, and the first thing that happens when i walk in the door, i see her look at me, and when i go to the desk, she starts making small talk about shit and she says she remembers me from last year (without ever having said a word to her before) and im like shiiiittt. when i gave her my id for something, she read the name off before giving it back and was like thanks marc and smiled. then i saw another lady RA who i thought looked like this hot friend of mine from home, and she also commented that she remembered me, which is tight!

i want to get with the first girl mentioned so badly, shes so cute, im definately gonna have to have a few more conversations with her, once i find out what floor shes on, or if shes even in my building, ill try and get her to come and chill. being 3 years older than all the freshman in my building is also tight, i talked to many girls in the elevator while moving my shit in and they all seemed impressed i was older lol.

 

it was charge piping, so i wasnt getting any boost without it connected, so no boost = no power with the type of engine management i have. my car is even less powerful without the turbo hooked up then when it used to be N/A. i looked at my wideband while accelerating and it was pinned at like 10... way rich lol.

and if it was my DP, id have done the same, but my exhaust is probably the strongest part of the car. its 3 inch straight through stainless. no cat, and the piping itself is rock solid. not a spot of rust and the gauge of the steel is so thick, it took me a long ass time cutting a small section, i doubt much could damage it lol.

 

im gonna install a cutout later this year, i want to be able to flick a switch and blow flames out of my on/off open downpipe. im also considering getting a less loud exhaust. i love it and all, but when i hit vtec the car is screaming, and any cop within a mile can hear it for sure. i still have so much more work to do to the car, but i plan on getting everything done before i call the project complete. i cant get rid of the car without doing everything i planned to.

right now, i gotta get new electric fans and a new radiator.the stock one wont cut it and in the heat, i cant run AC at all otherwise it will just slowly overheat the engine. so, pretty much when it gets hot enough to require using ac, thats about the temperature that i cant safely run it. DOH!

 

a civic one?? i already have a double radiator, and im guessing its aluminum, ive never seen people swapping them into accords. what im probably gonna do is get a prelude koyo radiator and some dank ass big CFM fans. i alreayd run my fans continuously when the cars on, so bigger fans would be dope.

im running a t3 super 60 turbo. its nice because its small and it spools pretty fast, but now im thinking it spools too slow for what i want. im thinking of upgrading, actually, i know im going to upgrade to a GT28 when i can afford the craazy price tag. if i had a ball bearing turbo, i think i would nut myself every time i drove the car. i have a friend who works for nasa and who is currently interviewing for SpaceX (if anyone knows anything about the space industry) and hes gonna be building my new motor for me when i can afford it, but im set on getting all my other shit fixed and flawless before then. i have decided that im gonna redo the entire charge piping system, as im not happy with the way it is now, and i may change my blowoff valve. i have the HKS SSQV but it just erks me a little, it always flutters a little and i cant lower the boost setting on it any more, i guess its just tooo much of a blowoff valve for the 9 psi im running

 

i havent got a cam yet, im debating it at all because of the results ive seen other people have on stock cams, but that being said, if i can score one for maybe 400 or less, id definately throw it in when the engine gets built.
