I don't think there is a tint thread and I was bored. This thread is for discussing tints, tint films, and tint laws. Basically anything about tints. I personally think tints complete a cars look. DISCUSS
tint here is legal down to 35% i have 20 and dont get pulled,i think because it is quite sunny here and the coppers dont mind. besides,we have 3 cars and one of them is legal so thats my fetcher.
I have 5% in the back and 30 in the front windows on my Lexus. Tint laws here are any on back and 50 on the front but i have only been pulled over for this once.
I've been wanting to tint this car forever. Had my last car tinted including the fronts which are illegal and had several tickets over the years. IL cops suck too, they'll stick the ticket onto your window when you're not there, and lately, they dont even get out the fucking car, they'll just mail you that sucker 3 weeks later when you dont remember. IL is 35% all around, or 0% up front and any on the back. Have wanted 20 back, 35 front, might pull the trigger in the spring.
5 all around except the windshield which is 30. i've never been pulled over in montana.. cops dont care..not like they enforce the law.. bank robberys happen all the time.. once a bank got robbed a block away from the police station and it took them 30 mins to respond..
I have 20 all the way around my truck minus the windshield, then I have 2 more panes to look through. My mom's BMW has 15 I think and Its nearly impossible to back out of our driveway. All my family's cars are illegal front except my sister's jetta. I love how people can't see in, and cops don't seem to care all that much
Billings is quite similar haha, good ole bozo, they gotta pay attention to those college ragers. I dont have tint on my mr2 currently but im planning on doing 20 all around cept in front, may be like 10 for the rear window. I love MT, it's too chill sometimes.
im not familliar with all the percents. but my friend has a ranger with 4x limo tint on the back, sides, and like a foot down the front window. its pure black theres no way to see through it. its nice for smoking hes been ticketed twice and once i was with him. yea you dont wanna get pulled over but its better than cops or people watching you hit the bong+you can hide things or put on a seatbelt while being pulled over, saves you more than not
I recently just got the front door and passenger front door on my SUV tinted because they were not tinted like the other windows. Tinted them to 28%, which is illegal here in Missouri, but I really do not expect to be pulled over solely because my tint is 28%. It's a bit darker, sure, but not THAT noticeable. Love that I now have tint all around, makes it much harder to see through.
have 35% on my driver and passenger (ohio is 50% for driver and passenger, anything rest of) and 20% on rest of windows. Makes my Cobalt look fuckiin amazing
Tints were the first thing I did to my car; I have a leather interior, so I wanted to protect it from any sun damage. Privacy is also a big plus I got 20% in the rear windows and rear door windows, and 50% on my front door windows. Legal limit here in Cali is any % for the rear windows, and no tint for the front door windows, which is why I went lighter in the front, so cops don't notice it
5% all around including the eyebrow on the windshield. I will tell you I can't see jack shit at night when I am backing up, and most of the time when turning at night it is a good idea to roll down the window so I dont miss the turn. BTW im white I only have one pic of my car since Ive got it done and its a shitty picture because the car is dirty and its a cell phone pic
