  1. This thread is dedicated to MGMT, an awesome band.

They also tie into Marijuana considering they openly admit to smoking before every gig! not to mention them smoking during gigs.

  2. I officially appreciate them, awesome post yo.

  3. :hello:They are one of my favorite bands. Both of them are total hippies. If you watch some of their interviews you can tell how much they love hallucinogenic drugs. The Flash Delirium video especially shows that, it's so bizarre lol

  4. Pretty cool band, I saw them at Austin City Limits in 2008. God damn I was fucking stoned.:smoking:

  5. Amazing music to blaze to. They're new album is really growing on me. It reminds me of the 60s, but with a 21st Century feel to it.

  6. ^ I might be mistaken but I actually heard some influences from earlier. I hear possible influence from the 50's, maybe late 40's. Like some of the stuff you hear at Johnny Rockets on the jukeboxes. I still really like the album.

  7. Siberian Breaks is like embarking on a lost civilization of ice people who just dicovered there is no cingular god but all of us are particles that make up giant super god who controls the universe through the powers of the heart. but it was in us the entire time we never realized it because all the ice people were killed in a fantastic lightning storm but one ice person survived and brought them all on a boat and populated the rest of the earth and they all promised not to tell the universe of this great secret. but one person told the secret throughout his bloodline and it was passed to maryanne the surfer who spread the word to magicians of modern day. maryanne was punished for trying to spread the word of the ice people and was persecuted and sentenced to death, she was in the nuce when the earth started to tremble and shake and ice poured from the heavens and everyone knew she was god, we are all god. the churches went mad but everyone had heard and they stopped punishing the earth with trash and scum. the world was better and the word traveled through the ice people to save earth. this was the golden era of earth and no one was suspecting what was near. like shattering of light glass and ice the earth broke itself in a pile of rubble and rid itself of the scum, ourselves. the hearts of the world couldnt save our god. marryanne was the lone ice person living and she traveled the universe with a fish bowl and the hearts of millions combined into one. she spread the secret to every life bearing planet and gave meaning to life.

this was written on acid while listening to siberian breaks from beginning to end, that is all, oh ya and i really like MGMT

  8. i apologize for the above post

  9. Hell Yeah I was introduced to this band by a buddy of mine who had "Kids" as his ringtone, which went off when we were stoned lol. Kids is by far the best song for me from them.
