Official Legend of Zelda Thread

  1. Now I am a huge LoZ fan, hell I named my cat Zelda. I absolutely love playing it while I'm blazed. I know I can't be the only blade out there that does, so how 'bout folks? What's your favorite LoZ game? Favorite character? Anyone excited for Skyward Sword? Shit, if it's Zelda related post it!

  2. I personally enjoyed twilight princess more than any. It's definitely the direction legend of Zelda games ought to be going. When I play video games, I want to feel like I'm the character, but I can't feel that when I'm playing as a looney toon.
Which is my fear for skyward sword.

  3. Have you not played Wind Waker? It's defiantly one of my favorites, it's a true Zelda game right down to the core. After I played it for 10 minutes I didn't care that he was a toon. For me it's not about the way the game looks, it's how it plays. The story and characters make the game.

  4. I had a Wii briefly and played through Twilight Princess, didn't care for it much, I remember liking one of the mounted combat boss fights a whole lot though.

Gamestop had Wind Waker on sale for 10 dollars so I bought it, I had always rented it and played it when I was younger but never got around to buying it.

I started playing it a few days ago after letting it collect dust for over a year. I really enjoy the music and sailing, very calming when I'm stoned. I also prefer the cartoony cel-shaded graphics in WW.

I'm only at the Forbidden Woods right now, taking my time with the game and only playing in short spurts.

Not planning on purchasing Skyward Sword, only have a Gamecube and Xbox, computer games peak my interest.

    :bongin:
    Off to play Wind Waker!

  5. Windwaker is dope, but four swords is my shit! I think there's something to be said about minish cap too, ultra sick if you can deal with playn gameboy.

  6. Wind Waker is the best one so far.

  7. I loved Ocarina of Time, it will always be my second favorite game of all time. Majora's Mask was good too, and Wind Waker was unexpectedly good.

I was so pumped for Twilight Princess but when I finally got it, I couldn't get into it. I wanted to like it so badly, I tried it at least 10 times. It seemed too childish for some reason. I mean I know it's a kids game but it felt different from the N64 ones. Especially that gay little twinkle that the small chests made when you got the item --

And for some reason it also felt more linear that the OoT and MM :confused_2:

  8. Wind waker was just as good as the n64 games. Twilight was alright.

I'm a total Zelda nerd. I've owned two Zelda hoodies I've worn almost every day for probably around 5 years now. I get into that shit haha. Zelda games are trippy as fuck too. Ever play Twilight Princess while on acid? I haven't, but I can only imagine the world it would take you to. Oh yeah, HIGH-rule. bwahaha :p

    My favorites in order:

    1) Ocarina of Time for N64
    2) A Link to the Past for SNES
    3) Twilight Princess for Wii
    4) Windwaker for Gamecube
    5) Majora's Maske for N64

It's really close though, I love all them equally haha. I even get into the timeline theories, visit Wikis and fan pages, an am subscribed to a Zelda Universe YouTube channel

Did you know there's a fan made movie? I haven't watched but half of it...haven't really made the time to watch the other half. It's not too bad actually...but it could be better.

Legend of Zelda: Hero of Time fan movie now out- Destructoid

  10. they should make one for ps3:eek:

  11. Dude, never! Zelda is definitely one of Nintendo's icons and makes up part of who they are. That would be like if Xbox put Halo on Wii. Just wouldn't be right.

  12. No, just no.

  13. And I thought I was a big Zelda fan  Haha I need some posters. Thanks for the input man, I thought this thread was dead.

  14. Bring back majoras mask!!!!!

  15. Definitely Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker for me.

My first zelda game was lttp way back when. For some reason I never owned oot or mm until I got them on the collectors edition disc with my gamecube and I fell in love with zelda all over again. Played every nintendo zelda game there was and owned each one except for two of the gameboy ones (one of the oracle games and link's awakening, not DX I had that).

Of all of the zeldas I played I got by far, and I mean by FAR, Wind Waker was my favorite except for the easy difficulty.

    For me..
    Most Playtime:
    ww>lttp>oot>mm>tp>minish cap>others about equal
    Most Enjoyable:
    lttp>ww>mm>oot>tp>minish cap>others about equal

I'm not going to lie about being a little bit scared of skyward sword :/

edit: after thinking a bit harder I never owned the GC Four Swords but my bud and I beat the GBA version of it, might just buy a GC again to play it..

edit2: I own both DS zeldas but I'm not starting spirit tracks until I beat phantom hourglass. So far phantom hourglass is frustrating but Linebeck's hilarious dialogue keeps me playing!

because it was the last zelda that Miyamoto had FULL control over, after Alltp his role in the series slowly diminshed. It was the biggest jump for the series. Its the blueprint for the rest of the series. ..and the music holy shit

Btw: Wind waker had the best graphics
And Minish cap is awesome too! Its way underrAteed, but its one of my favs

  18. hey for all u majoras mask fans chek out haunted majoras mask on youtube...

  19. Dude the Wii controller for sure. It's good on Gamecube...but they did a really really good job incorporating the Wiimote with Zelda.

  20. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX was pretty good on Gameboy Color. I remember playing it Everyday at school til i beat it. lol Most Def one of the Best Endings to a Gameboy Game, So many memories flooded my head watching this Video:
