Odd looking spots on lower leafs...

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Leapfrog, Oct 3, 2008.

  1. The plant is filling in nicely and doing well. I am using ProMix BX for soil and Fox Farm Grow Big for ferts and am about to switch to FF Tiger Bloom. Recently added a tea spoon Blood Meal and watered it in.

The soil has been somewhat wet due to tons of rain so that might be the case for what my question (see pictures) is about. It is not soggy wet since it drains very well but it hasn't had a chance to dry out in between. The spots are only on the lower part of the plant (again see pics). They have been around for quiet a while, not just recently.

Thanks for your help about what those spots are about.

  2. Keep your pH in check. Blood meal will raise your pH significantly so you need to be careful with how much you use and you need to balance it out. Too much blood meal = too much ammonia = too alkaline = death.

Edit: I didn't see that they had been around for a while. pH was my best guess, other than that, I'm not sure:confused:
