    cool post :D i didn't know that happened today!
    it really was an important event in history............this thread makes me want to smoke the rest of my weeds and bake a cake in the shape of sputnik :) and then eat the cake of course.

    Changed things in so many ways. One that's relevant today is that it made the US dump a ton of money into science...which really isn't the case right now.
