Obama Warns: Reform HealthCare Now or Bankruptcy

Discussion in 'Politics' started by maxrule, Dec 17, 2009.

  1. Look everyone, Obama is worried about spending too much.

Obama is trying to frighten the public in to supporting Health Care.

It should be no surprise. Typical liberal 'crisis' scare tatic that we have all seen many times before.

These liberal democrats are such a bunch of car salesmen.

If we don't act right now.... Hurry hurry buy now... Sound familiar?

    And then there is this...

Dean urges defeat of emerging health care bill - Yahoo! News

I agree with Dean on this. I do think we need health care overhaul and I think that the current bill does little to benefit the average american public. Glad dean has the balls to speak out on this. He's probably getting blackballed and death threats for speaking out against the republicrats.

Yes guys, I know it is uncool around here to agree with anyone associated with the FASCIST DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF SATANISM (cue eerie music, oooooooohhh) but my viewpoint on this issue isn't ridiculously far off from Dean's in this case. And yes I know I used a non-fox MSM media article(unforgivable mistake)...so let me supply you all with some stakes and planks so you can crucify me for being such a sheep. Hands out plywood and nails

  4. It isn't about republicans or democrats anymore, folks, it is about lousy politicians and a lousy system. It doesn't matter if it was Obama pushing for it or Bush pushing for it, it is still wrong.

I just want it all to collapse. I don't care if it happens with Obamacare or not, it just needs to happen. If Obamacare could speed up a collapse I'm all for it, otherwise I'm against it.

  5. Why do you want it to...collapse? Not sure I follow, but I'm all ears

I suppose Bush and the Republicans never used scare tactics?

If you're going to insult the Democrats, which I'll admit is easy, at least use something that can be attributed only to them and not the entire political arena. Would make the post a little more credible...

  7. Well, the thing is, he's out of his freaking mind.

  8. Fixed that for ya

I'm with Dink on this one, the corruption in the US government has gone beyond the two party system to form this system of corruption and back room dealing that feels more at home in 17th century Parliament than in 2009....

The reality is, the US government in its current form (and many govs around the world) are NOT OPERATING SUSTAINABLY and if something isn't sustainable, that means it can only go on for so long before it destroys itself.

When they can't raise the debt "limit" fast enough for our spending to stay under it, you know the dice have been thrown and we all get to wait and see what sort of disaster we're subjected to next as a result of the corruption and incompetence .

I for one have reached a point in my life where I am ready for the system of government to collapse in on itself, cut all social programs, slash the military budget aggressively and pull out of all foreign wars, then use those savings to DROP TAXES SIGNIFICANTLY ACROSS THE BOARD, and stay the hell out of the private lives of US citizens..

Thats the only way America will again be the great nation it once was, because right now the only people living the "American Dream" are foreign nationals from China and India who come to america to get an education, then go back to their country and make a whole lot of money.

  9. If you can honestly look at the way the government is acting, and all the money they're spending that we do not have, and say to me "This works, I think the government is doing a good job!".

Well, if you can say that, than you truly have drunk deeply of the koolaid

  10. Actually, the thing is that this shit sucks. When was the last time you talked to someone who is satisfied with the way things are now? I don't think that I have ever met someone who is satisfied with our government... ever.

Obama decided to run his campaign on a few choices words like "hope" and "change". I want to see real change. Not some politician who will lie like every single fucking politician before him. How is that any fucking different?

A collapse, which is imminent, will give us a few desirable things. First, there will be my personal favorite which is the lack of a governing body. People making their own choices without someone pretending like they know better. Will it be uncomfortable for people? Of course, it could even be life threatening, but we need a challenge once in a while. Then there will be a new system, hopefully designed with the spirit of humanity and respect for individual rights. A government that does what it really should do, protect the rights of the individuals which it governs. A clean slate, and hopefully a lengthy period of time before this system, too, becomes corrupt and the tree of liberty will once again need to be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I personally believe that hardships are necessary and desirable by all human beings. When you must truly survive, you will understand life. The food you eat will taste that much better and the people around you will be that much more important to you. You can't take things for granted.

I mean have you guys noticed the change in success rates for marriages in just a few generations? That is because now the government hands everything to us. We are spoon fed our livelihood. Back in the day marriage was more about survival than it was about love. You found someone to take care of you instead of finding someone who has the same taste in interior decor.

I want that bond. That bond that is most human in spirit, that bond of togetherness which you can't find without hardship and struggle.

Just remember, in order to use your head you have to go out of your mind.

  11. And this is most curious to me, as my experience is largely the same in that I don't think I've ever known anyone to describe their view of the government as 'satisfied' or greater. For a government that is supposed to be for the people and by the people, this is a fundamental problem.

To Bush's credit, he was always relatively straight forward about what he was doing and what his intentions were. Not that Bush was a good president, mind you. Whereas with Obama, aside from outright lies, he's a very good politician (similar to Clinton in this regard), in that he can talk circles around any issue and sugar-coat it to the point that he makes (many) people believe he is not only wise, but right--such as the case of the war in Afghanistan.

Change would have been nice--change in economic thought, for starters. Keynesian economics is a tried and true failure, as has been shown time and time again.

  12. I think Bush was just as underhanded and evil as Obama is. Actually just about everything Bush did was evil. Destroying personal freedoms in the name of fighting a phony enemy is pretty fucking evil.

Imagine if Bush went into Afghanistan, found Osama, and then we were done? I'm not sure how many people probably still think that Iraq and 9/11 are somehow connected.

Lies are lies are lies, coming from a white redneck or a black Hawaiian.

The only reason I may have a slight bias in favor of Bush is that he was supposed to be a republican. Republicans generally wanted smaller government, which I am totally in favor for. It doesn't really matter at all because both Bush and Obama are both neocons with the same political ideologies.

  13. You're a parrot of Glenn Beck. I guarantee you either got that line from him directly or another conservative repeating him. The only thing I'm wondering about is if you'll admit it.

  14. Aka Republicrats

  15. I despise glenn beck and do not watch him, but the shady used car salesman line is actually pretty fitting. Convincing you to spend money that doesn't need to be spent on a items that will perform significantly below your expectations, and they're "gonna talk to the manager and see if I can help you out with that financing!"

They both act like they're doing you a favor when really they're fucking you... The only difference is the politicians also fuck your kids, and their kids with all the debt.

Vote For Politicians: We fuck you AND your kids!

  16. I agree with you guys, there are skunks in both parties. I am seeing the left wing progressives as the leaders of the communists among both parties.

Right now it is Obama and his socialist cohorts in congress that are fear mongering and generally stinking up the place.

They are truly anti-capitalists and have stated clearly that they are against profits and any further human progress and they are more than willing to cheat, steal and lie to further their agenda.

  17. i think buddy-dink....

NEEDED TO VENT.... but i agree with him...

in our lifetime.. i believe we are going to see civil war again in the u.s.

but it will be people fighting for thier rights..against a government that doesnt wont to loose its power..

.we gots to overthrow washington....and return power to the states to govern thierselves...
