I suppose as somebody who lives where the houses aren't packed together and everyone's yard is more than just enough to fit a house its not the same as it is for people in the city or even just more populous areas. People with physcial or mental disabiltys who cant do it is why we have assistance programs, never said we didnt need them, they are not ment for people who are able. But the way it is now they just keep popping out kids and refuse to go to work. leavs less for the ones who do deserve it. have you been to an ER latly. we are obligated to help those who are truely in need there are just alot who dont need help they just feel that those damn dirty rich people should support them also. The point i want to make is that its not fair to reward sloth with my blood and sweat.

Yea, Y2K was funny I'm relatively young so I haven't been around to experience all the gloom and doom predictions for the end of America in the past 50 years, but I feel like this time its real. Like the 1970s when Anarchist Cookbook was huge, inflation was high and people hated the government... we're still riding that wave of credit expansion since Bretton Woods ended. I dunno. Damn right ecoterror, We have the right to life, liberty and property. Those are natural, god given rights, and they might take some of my property through taxes but if this country starts to get ugly and people try to physically take the fruits of my labor, I will protect my property to the best of my ability.
sorry i disagree. do you think i want to go bustass every day? it would be cool to hang out and not work. if i chose to live this way why should i expect someone who does work to support me. I guess we are too differnt to see eachothers viewpoints. but i just have to say im proud to be able to provide jobs for people who need them and are willing to go get them. and if you are disabled and are not capeable of prividing for your family I will help, but you dont need cable tv, you dont need cell phone, you dont need internet. Alright well how about this for a solution. We all quit being cunts and just let everyone have everything and be happy. As a species we are advanced enough to be happy but also as a species we can't seem to fucking enjoy what we have. We continue to take things for granted and want more better useless shit. I've said it before and I'll say it again; instead of going forward why don't we fucking plateu already and let everyone be happy instead of being cunts and driving towards a better future. Things don't necessarily die when they become stagnant. Just because we're not moving forward doesn't mean we have to stop doing what we already are. I'm just saying quit trying to get better stuff and keep going with what we have. Maybe if people communicated directly with people more these days rather than using all of this technology it wouldn't seem so bad to stop making better shit. Either way we all just have to do whatever we want to be happy about our lives. If that means sucking a dick then so be it, if it means sitting around and doing whatever you want, then good for you. Life is all about living it the way you want to. There are limitations but still, do what you need to do to be happy and that's all anybody can really do in this world.

Cocooning is a problem, for sure, but I think the bigger problem is thinking that if we give the government half of our income we are absolved of our duty to help others. A lot of resentment for the 'lazy' lower class comes from coercive taxation, which funds inefficient programs that leave little benefit for the lower class in the end. I'm not talking about all taxes, just the worthless ones like personal income tax (not corporate), Capital gains and Social security. Imagine what effective charitable foundations would arise if we were left to the full fruits of our labor? As is, private charities and donations prove more beneficial than state.
