High to all you mj enthusiasts I would appreciate some advice on whether to use a carbon scrubber, or an o-zone generator. This will be used to clear the air while trimming in a bedroom. My room is 32 X 16', with high ceilings. My kids caught hell at school last year for coming to school smelling like weed. I have a bathroom vent I will use for the exausted air. So which way would YOU do it? Thanks in advance for replies. Buzzzzzzzzzz
I use both. Read up on ozone, to decide if it's something you want to be exposed to. I would suggest using it, minimally, and only during hours you aren't in the room. I run mine at night for 20 seconds every hour. My main motivation for using it it to kill any free floating spores in the air, more than smell, but it does help, significantly in that regard, too.\
Thank you for the reply post OP I apprciate it. . . . Anyone else have an opinion? Please come forward with it. Thanks
I trim in my sealed room and I have a huge scrubber. It still stinks to high hell during trim but the rest of the house is mostly odor free. You might be ok with just the scrubber considering you are venting and it's just for the trim job but I'd like to have both as OP is doing. I never thought of the other benefits like mold prevention so that's kinda awesome.
i know im late but i use a carbon scrubber to clean the air from nail polish fumes!...I make uv color changing nail polish in the garage which is closed up, insulated, air conditioned...it is a 6" diameter unit and it work great....i love the smell of carbon scrubbed air.....All the chemicals involved are organic as is the smell of a grow...
I have a question I know this thread is old but, if I set up a tent with basic intake and outtakes could I just use a ozone generator instead of a carbon filter?
Ozone is a scam, it doesn't clean the air and its bad for you to breath in. You can buy air fresheners that pull air through a carbon filter and then add scent, it helps to control the smell. Opening the window and putting a fan on is best. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I have two ozone generators and they are VERY effective at removing the odor. Unfortunately excess ozone IS hazardous to you, your plants and many organic materials.
