Nyc sour diesel week 7

    Not bad, what light are you using for flowering?

    buds look kinda small

    Reall nice ,im on my first grow of gdp now im going into flowering today

    Really? Its my first grow of it but I thought it was doing pretty well... lighting is a 1000watt hortilux hps. Colas are average of 6/8 inch.

    Thats BS about the buds lookin small shes still got a few weeks left right?Looks good to me and Id say it will still fatten up a bit as well before harvest time gonna be some nice smoke.

    Just checked there flowering time usually is about 9-12 weeks prob closer to 12 those buds are gonna be fat as f*ck!

    Yummy!! Just smoked GDP a few days ago, really good smoke. From what I hear its twice as nice if you can take time to cure it.

    Thanks Bro.!! My buddy that gave me the clone goes 10 weeks on his. I been smokeing it about 2 years, always worth it. He also told me the last couple weeks they BLOW UP!! I will keep you updated.
    Now, Wheres my pipe?.....

    naw he was right they do look a little small for 7 weeks. theres no doubt the buds will fatten up, but at 7 weeks under a 1000w they should already be pretty big.

    those buds won't be ready at 10 weeks. maybe more like 12.

    Maybe I am easy to please, they look good to me. Just curious tho what do you people call a BIG BUD?

    man those are dank. i just got done trimming up my two sour d plants. ill post some pictures in a bit. but they are lookin niice man. you'll enjoy thatxD

    Im not saying anybodys wrong. Its my first grow of SD. Plant did have some skock in veg. yield can always be reduced. But if I think this one is good ,and its small,,,... I cant wait for next 10 to start flowering!!!!! Good things to come.

    ^Its hard to compare without something to scale against but to me OP's buds do look bigger maybe not as much as they could under 1000w but pot size/experienceetc are also a factor and for a first grow looks very good.Have to say yours did look tasty too pity about it going hermie what did you end up doing in the end did you chop early?

    I really cant wait for my next batch to go in. You guys have me excited!! I took a really good look and looked up some things online last night, and things are behind some. Then I looked back on my journal and found out a few reasons why....
    1 Being newbie lol 2 power outage 3 no nutes in veg. So there is alot of room for improvement. I have everything Fox Farm makes for nutes, and soil, now have digital ph meter, new timers, and a little more experiance. Does anybody have some inside tips on nyc sour, or white rhino? Any extra ferts. Or how long do you veg/flower? Thanks.

    Not sure about NYC Diesel but Im growin a few Jack Diesels (NYC Diesel x Jack Herrer) and they love a good feeding and they are also very sensitive to pH if it strays above 7 starts to yellow pretty fast so make sure you keep it in check.Flowering time is about 10-12 weeks yours should be the same could even be longer for both of us

    With the ph, what if it drops a little low (5.9)?

    If your in soil you need to raise that up to about 6.5-6.8 ideally.Get some garden lime and add about half a tablespoon per gallon when you water(only do it once and check pH again).Make sure its garden lime also known as dolomite lime provides calcium and magnesium as well.Lime is a pH buffer so it wont raise it above 7 just helps to keep it steady.

    Yeah I mix dolomite lime in soil before I plant. Ph is not normally a issue for me, but I watered two or three times and did not check ph in my feeding water after I mixed in nutes. Last time after I mixed nutes my ph went from 7.2 down to 5.5. I have always used ff trio never had this problem, but last night I mixed up some nutes and it droped it again! Im going to have to watch and check every time I feed.
