NYC Police shoot bystandards

  1. inb4 conspiracy

  2. Typical bullshit

  3. Not gonna say conspiracy but, I found this video clip of the gunman being shot by the police. Maybe it's just me, but his "death" looks overly dramatic, kinda like a really bad actor playing the part of dying.

Notice the part where he's falling to his knees, stops his fall with his arms, then rolls over to his back?

Yeah, if someone really just got shot to death, they don't actually stop their fall with their arms, or their knees for that matter...

  4. Maybe something good will come out of these accidental injuries, such as the police receiving additional training on firearm accuracy and efficiency. But as far as this incident goes, I still think that they did pretty damn good under the circumstances. They're cops, not Navy SEALS sharpshooters.

  5. Sounds like New York needs a gun ban...on the NYPD.

  6. I'm not sure why we have two threads on this, but I'm just gonna repost what I wrote in the other one.

This is Pathetic and inexcusable. Mother Bloomberg loves to claim that his police army are the only ones who are capable of using firearms & they can't hit one target at 10 feet without firing over a dozen rounds & hitting 9 citizens. I’ve never heard of concealed carry permit holders shooting multiple innocent bystanders… Have you? Perhaps the NYPD shouldn’t be armed with lethal weapons, at least until they’re as well trained as concealed carry permit holders.

  7. Bummer, at least they were only minor wounds.

The police didn't shoot any civilians directly. People got hurt from shrapnel and bullet fragments.

  9. I knew shit was getting rough in this country, but now it's spiraling out of control...like, 1960's out of control....

  10. ...is that like being raped a little...not much, just a little...

Police bullets should never make contact with innocent bystanders.

perp fired once, they fired enough to hit bystanders 9 times AND kill the perp too...ya, thats some special training, on how to fucking panic with a gun, only cops get that sort of special training...

unprofessional and inexcusable acts by these two thugs wearing badges...that will be swept under the new communist dictatorship rug of the emerging USSA.

Seriously garrison?! F#$%ing tool. I cannot believe you sometimes.

  12. Just ignore him. All you can do.

  13. I want to slap the taste out of his mouth.....actually I'd like to sit down smoke a joint and educate him. He really needs some learning :)

  14. Uh...

    Nope.

aggrevated sexual assault and bodily harm due to criminal negligence are very different, in distribution, reporting, motivation, victim impact... much less sentencing motivations.

This is covered in any modern criminology textbook on violent crime.

    Definitely. Ergo the tragedy.

Weren't these metropolitan cops? How does the federal government factor in? Won't response mostly be up to the DA and NYPD? Shouldn't you be criticizing local and state government?

  15. guess what tey forgot to tell you is police use metal jacketed bullets which bounce off objects when they come in contact.. so shooting 9 times not even at the perpetrator is incredible dangerous

  16. Whether these bullets are more susceptible to ricocheting vs other bullets, the fact is the police did not directly shoot anyone but the murderer. NYC is a crowded place, especially at landmarks. So I agree they shouldn't be using ammo that can bounce into anyone so easily and they should face consequences for that but this thread and that article makes it sound like the NYC PD was shooting people directly and that's simply not the case.

  17. This guy should have been put away in a looney bin a long time ago. How and where he got the gun has not been established, maybe it isn't known.

  18. Give those cops a 24 ounce soda. Oh wait...

  19. 'by standards' ?? Lol
