Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by druglife, May 1, 2016.

  1. OK I'm doing my first indoor grow my plants are almost 3 weeks old so I'm gonna mix up some nutrients. Anyways I got the general hydroponics nutes my question is do I mix all 3 even though my plants aren't flowering one is bloom so I'm not sure

  2. google a feeding schedule for the set of nutes and growing medium. What are you growing in and what are you using for nutes?

  3. im growing some autos in happy frog under 400w hps im usung the general hydroponics nutes flora micro, floragro, and flora bloom. im confused if i should add the flora bloom since the plants arent flowering i mean add bloom to a vegging plant dont make sense to me but i dont wanna screw this up

  4. Your plants don't need nutes yet unless you've planted them in sand or something. Your soil has nutrients in it. You don't start giving plants nutes until they've had a chance to grow enough to use the nutes that came in the soil. No 3 week old plant is going to need nutes unless you planted it in a thimble. If you've planted these plants in large containers....or anything bigger than a 1 gallon pot, they've probably not even finished developing their root system yet...which is the very first thing they do once they go into soil. During this time, they do not drink much and they do not grow much (foliage wise), but their roots are running wild under the soil. You'll see them start to pick up and grow and start to drink water. At this point, they are firmly established in that container and doing their thing. But if you've put a young plant in a huge pot, it's going to take some time before you need to add any nutes to it unless you want to fry your plants. If these aren't autos and are regular strain seeds, it's best to start them in something like a Solo cup. Confining their root space takes less time for them to root in and get back to growing. When the plant is larger than the container (wider and taller), that usually means is slightly root bound and can be safely transplanted into the next size container. With a repot, you get fresh soil and fresh nutes. The same thing happens again, plant must finish it's root system, foliage sits and waits, when it starts to grow again....blah, blah, blah. Potting them up in stages like this is the quickest way I've found to get your plant as big as you can as fast as you can. Now watering....you do not ever water your plants until they have used at least 80% of the water in the container. You should be able to lift the container they're in and it feel as if it you just loaded it with dry soil. Soil: If you're using bagged soil off the shelf, you need to add about 40% perlite to it because you need a very light and arid soil to grow these plants in....they don't like their roots sitting in constant moisture. We run everything here on a 10 week cycle. By the time my plants flower for 10 weeks, I can take clones and grow them to the size I need for them to go into flower at by harvest time...because of the way I pot my plants, the soil does 99% of the work. Over the course of the plant's life, I give approximately 1/8th of what the manufacturer recommends you give as far as nutes. I don't believe you have to fill your plants up with chemicals to grow healthy plants and good buds. The key to big plants and big buds is light. You can't put too much good light over your plants and the better the light, the bigger the plant and the bigger and more dense the buds. Nutrients are not the key to a big harvest. They ARE the key to frying your plants. LOL Good luck! Hey, read up in the new grower threads here. Several Sticky's there with the basic info new growers need. TWW

  5. wow good shit thanks only reason i was even gonna use nutes is cause i read here you should wait till their 3 weeks old then use nutes they are autos btw 3 blackberry kush and a quick one their in 5 gallon fabric pots

  6. The flora trio. Start off with 1/4 tsp. Micro, gro, bloom in this order. Wash your stuff after every mix as they have issues with one another. Always pour each one into the water one at a time.

Don't ever use recommend dosage for now. I am learning they like it at 1/2 strength max. You can get away with not giving it bloom, I heard this can place auto flower into longer veg and make them run longer. You'll get bigger autos in the end.

    What are you growing in?

  7. Not going to write a book or sermon, I've using General organics by the online schedule and thinks look very well.
