So u have some plants that are around 21 days old and here they are. They are growing outside in ffof and I want to start adding grow big, and I topped one of them today... So Here's the problem: Since each of these girls nearly don't take a gallon of water each yet without there being a shit load of runoff, how should I go about giving them nutes?? You know what I mean? Like If I give each one a gallon of water, there will be a lot of runoff so what do I do? Does it matter?? It says on grow big that to start feeding at 3 weeks with 2-3 tsp per gallon of water(I'll use 1/2 tsp first feed), but I don't think they can even take a gallon yet.... So what should I do?? I gave her the half gallon and probably 30% or more came out the bottom and I got a runoff at about 6-6.5. (I just have the dropper tester) since that much water came out the bottom of one plant, I just split a full gallon of water between the other 3.. But is that amount of runoff too much?? I feel like if I even give each of them a bottle of water each they will all have some run off still. But Not much though. Options?? Should I just give them each a half gallon even if there's that much runoff?? I heard cannabis likes to have runoff, but how much is the question? 20% run off is plenty to help reduce salts that build up in the soil when using chemical based nutes and is a percentage amount I shoot for.Those dropper testers are fine if your just giving plain water but once you start using nutes the nutes alter the color of the water making it harder to accurately compare the color of the run off to the little color chart. On Ebay and Amazon you can pick up a cheap basic digital PH tester for liquids pretty cheap, if you have a grow shop near you that's where I would get some calibration solution and some PH Up & Down buffer solutions.
