hey, my plants won't eat.... i changed the res a couple days ago... start 598 ppm 5.7 ph next day 612 ppm 6.3 ph (corrected ph back to 5.7) today 635 ppm 6.2 ph why are the ppm's going up?? i thought they were supposed to decrease as the plants use the nuts. i just got an RO water filter, and this latest res. change i used the filtered water it was like 9 ppm compared to 275ppm straight from tap. but the plants don't seem to be using the nuts right????
fluctuating ph/ppm is caused by plant uptake of nutes. if plants are using more water than nutes than the ppm will go up. evaporation in res will cause ppm to go up.
