Nutrient advice for short auto flowering strain.

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Hasty, Oct 1, 2011.

  1. I plan on using Low Ryder 2 as this is my first grow, I have read that this plant starts to grow buds practically in the veg state.

I want to keep stuff as simple as possible and only use one product, after 3 weeks using it every other watering until harvest.

Does this sound ok? Here in the uk we dont have products like fox farms so if anyone could recommend a product for my needs the simpler the better, that would be great.

I plan on starting seeds in a plastic little pots for two weeks then transferring to two gallon pots for the rest of the time (any advice on uk soil brands would be appreciated too).

    Thanks.

  2. I couldn't find foxfarms either in the UK without paying shipping :(

I did find Bio-Bizz though and I find that to be very good, Light-Mix for seedlings and All-Mix for bigger veggies and flowering. If you use All-Mix then you don't have to use any veg nutes, Bio-Bloom and Top-Max work well with it but to be hones Molases (Lyes black treacle ;)) is just as good and around 5 times cheaper, its Organic too.

Thats the best soil I could find here but Im glad I did find it. You can find cheaper soil in any garden centre but this is the correct pH and has food in it, it is also mixed with perlite. I have used cheaper soil and some of it hasn't been bad but some that I tried have stunted growth or even caused nute burn :smoke:

  3. Bio bizz should be cool a couple people have recomended it for me to use on my auto ak from grass o matic if u have trouble finding foxfarms the bizz should be good if u cant find that..make sure you gett the oganic line if u go to any comercial places to get yur fertalizer.

  4. Just an update I have both light mix and all mix now and some bio bloom.

I'm growing Easy Ryder am I right in thinking, light mix in a smaller pot 1-2 weeks, then transplant to big pot with all mix then use bio bloom at first sign of flowering.

Will I need any other nutes or will the all mix fulfil the nitrogen needs for veg stage? Thanks again.

  5. hey man, ive got practically the same as you, the guy in the shop told me that the lite mix should be good for like 3-4 weeks, then you transplant into all mix, which would do again for a while. if you have bio bloom, just start using that if you notice anything going wrong with the plant. im not the best person to give advise, im on my first grow (http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-m...gy-baby-girls.html?highlight=leggy+baby+girls), im just going off what the hydro shop guy said.

  6. No i would plant ftom seedling straight to the final pot. By week 3 there gonna start to flower so transplanting in week two will really affect your end yield.

  7. Thanks goof and 70sdiver.

70sdiver I was told the bio bizz all mix would be too hot for seeds, hence the light mix then transplant.

I plan on transplanting when the seedling gets it's first real set of leaves.

Goof it is the advice I have been given too mate. I checked your thread and subbed.
