Nute question

  1. I have some nutrients that are 6-4-4 and bloom 2-8-4. During flowering stage should I just add the bloom formula orf 2-8-4? Or is it ok to combine the 6-4-4 and the 2-8-4?

  2. From what i have read you shouldn't need the Veg grow during Flowering. Flowering just needs the P the most. Veg needs the N. And by mixing the two i think you would just have a greater chance of over nuting and stressing it or killing it. Also the nutes you use and when you stop using them changes the taste of the bud. So adding more nutes in flowering could also make your smoke taste bad. Just you veg nutes for veg and bloom nutes for bloom. This is just my opinion on the matter hope it helps.

  3. Yes, use the veg nutes for veg and the bloom nutes for flowering.

  4. To say that MJ does not need N during flowering is not accurate. Mj does reguire N during flower but in lower concentration then while it is vegging. Many nute companies like foxfarms and General Hydroponics recommend mixing thier veg and flower nutes in different proportions during veg and bloom. HydroSystems_FF_Feed.pdf (application/pdf Object)

The most important thing when using nutes is to watch your plants.... See how they are reacting to your feeding. Dont be a slave to mixing charts especially if you see signs of distress in your plants. During flowering if you see your leaves yellowing to quickly your babies need a shot of some high N ferts. Dont be afraid to experiment during your first grows, as long as you keep an eye on your PPMs and PH things should notgo to terribly wrong.

  5. Yes I'm using Foxfarm ferts and the feeding schedule says to add growbig, bloom, and tigerbloom in the later stages. However, I'm assume that these schedules are meant for tomatos and not MJ.

Like you said I'm keeping a close eye on the plants for yellowing and stuff. There has been no problems or anything. Just curious.
