  1. Is this from the LEDs or the soil?? I only top dressed with more raised bed mix because it’s mostly compost, castings lobster and kelp mealS, ec so far. Haven’t even used the plant food. @Dr. Dave image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  2. nutrient burned . Next watering no nutrient . Then back off them 25 % for then on.

EDITED. you also have a magne issue pic three shows it . Start using calmag .It will fix your issue . Plants will recover in 10 days.
Plant may or may not be locked out from your nutrients or lack of it in the soil No matter does not matter you will be adding it into the water

  3. I second Bryan Oconner and would add, start PHing your water/nutrient sol'n. With soil(if it is soil cant tell) and top dressing you should have plenty of nutes but your ph might be off preventing plants from getting them like the mag def you are started showing. My 2 centavos I just got a ph meter bc of the same problems in soil. I was surprised how far off my water nute sol'n was/has been. It seems in veg, I can throw any ph at them but in flower it matters(at least for my garden). YMMV. FWIW Flora Nova Bloom and my RO water was down to PH 5.2. RO water w/o nutes is 7.2 and my plain tap water was 8.1. I am shooting for 6.6 to 6.8 for anything I give them from now on.

  10. Gna grab a ph meter too..

  11. I am going away on Sunday for about five days. I’m gonna grab some calMag n a ph meter. The last watering on Sunday I will add some calMag and PH the water.

  12. I’m going to beton a little bit of a nutrient lock out.

  13. If I buy a pH meter to check my water. Do you think I should just grab the up-and-down as well while I’m there?

  14. Isn’t there a way to change the pH organically?

  15. Based on your twisted new growth your water pH is likely the issue. I would hold off on any bottled nutrients as you are growing in organic soil. If you need to lower your water pH you can do so using citric acid. You'll find it in the spice section of the grocery store or the food preserving section of Walmart near the canning jars.

  16. Oh damn I thought that was just from the leaves that got topped and we’re just looking kind of weird. I’ll have to check the pH tomorrow. Maybe I’ll just go get some strips at Walmart and adjust upper down depending on what I need.

  17. P.s. - how can I check the pH of the soil? Should I have just checked the runoff? I watered really well today so they’re not gonna be ready for water until Sunday or Monday. In the past I have mixed up a little bit from each pot and made a sludge and mix it with water, and then tested the water. (Seperate tests for each pot obv.. can I use the strips for pools and hot tubs? As you said, I can always add a little bit of citric acid If it’s too high.

Are these BS?? I will drive to the grow shop if I have to.. I’m pretty sure that’s the only way I’ll be able to get my calMag. I can go to Walmart and get the pH test strips— I have a feeling my pH is too high. I remember I got some twisted growth last time when that happened .

  19. I only ph liquids now so I do not know about the intricacies of PHing soil. I would get the PH up and down but you can use vinegar for down and baking soda for up. Let us know how it goes.

  20. Definitely. I’m just gonna grab the strips and adjust the pH tomorrow. That should be fine until I get home. I’ll set up a few gallons of properly pH’d water for him to water with — you were right it twisted growth definitely looks like the pH is a little high. Causing lockout.
