Nute Burn Near The End...Harvest Early?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by jimsonweed, Dec 9, 2023.

  1. All,

Growing Runtz FFOF soil using LED lights and FoxFarm trio fertilizers. Did 50% strength entire feed until mid-flower when it developed a mild deficiency, so went up to 75% after. It was all good until a week ago, but now looks like I've got some nute burn setting in pretty rapidly. Last feeding was last Sunday, I've been doing plain ph'd water only since. Ideally I'd wait another week or so, but I'm wondering if I need to harvest sooner than that.

Plain water going in this morning was pH 6.4, ppm 50. Runoff was ph 6.5, ppm 420 (first bit was 700!). This is the first time I've seen the pH increase in the runoff so far and the ppms are higher than last plain watering. Seems like probably 40-50% orange hairs and maybe approaching half-cloudy trichomes, potentially in the early part of the harvest window.

Think I should wait it out or just harvest it? The buds seem to look (and smell) pretty good, but I don't want the nute burn to start affecting them. I expect this will continue progressing in the coming days. Thank you

  6. Thank you all for your responses, I will hold off until she is done unless she is imminently dying!

I’ve heard this now several times about tiger bloom. I’ve heard GH is better for nutrients, thinking about switching it to it on my next grow. Any thoughts?

  7. I always advise adding 25% perlite to any FFOF grow and as you go very easy with any nute, better add more perlite or clean river sand should you wanna add more nute

the cure here? flush ...flush with 3 times the pot volume with air temp water, allow to drip dry overnight to continue in the morning, so best done late in the day, keep in low light until reocvered

    good luck
