  1. NYC weighs ban on snack foods at hospitals | NJ.com

  2. I totally dig that.

  3. Statist gonna state. I knew this was coming. Once Mother Bloomberg was successful with the soda ban, he would move on to other "undesirables". I fear this is only the beginning.

  4. It's some scary shit to say the least. The moment I heard soda ban I knew forever that I would dislike Bloomberg. As far as I'm concerned he can go fucking rot.

  5. What's next mandatory workouts?
How about days with NO cars in city ( that would be fun).
Pantry inspections not too far away.

  6. like i said, babyboomers, need to gtfo

  7. Not cool Bloomberg, not cool. Then again, he has seemed pretty dumb for a while.

  8. Long Island, baby, the city can kiss my ass, YEAH! < thats meant to be sung.

At one time, when we didn't have fast food everywhere, the hospital cafeteria cuisine was nutritious, and there was a moderate amount of candy and other junk available. Since that situation has changed for the worse, it's time to kick the bums out. I've visited hospitals that had McDonalds, and other fast food chains, as their only vendor, and a lot of this garbage was being bought by, or for, patients - and the rest of us have no healthy choices. If people want to stuff their faces with junk food while visiting a hospital, then they can go down the street, bring it back to the hospital for themselves or the patient, and eat it at their own risk - but the sale of fast food should be very limited, or not permitted at all, in hospitals where people are supposed to be getting better.

  10. soon, NYC victims...I mean residents, will all look like this...

  11. didnt need to see that man, going to be honest.

  12. I wonder how many thousand people come and visit their loved ones or friends & need to stay long enough to eat food.. Why ban one and bring the other..why not have both options. What if I don't want to walk down the block or drive my gas powered vehicle to drive a few miles down the road to get mcdonalds & get my double cheeseburger and large fry.. What if I want to be able to get it in the hospital like it is now..

Why can't they introduce both? Have the organic alternative obviously there, bring in organic vendors and companies?

last time i checked, when the nurse goes and gets food for the patients, they don't come back with a happy meal, they come back with a tray of the food provided by the hospital

  13. Well put blade. I have the same opinion as you.

It is a hospital it is meant to progress towards wellness; no need for shit food that lack quintessential nutrients to spur recovery.

As that gent said if you want shit food take a walk.

This guy right here. I like the decision.

  16. Local hospital here has a McDonald's at the main entrance...built into the hospitals main entrance...ya, it has some of the people a bit upset, seeing a shitload of welfare people waddling over and lining up to get supersized meals, before going upstairs too or coming down from, the heart/GI/diabetes clinics...while hidden away deep inside, is a cafeteria that serves tiny expensive portions of processed food-like stuffs...

The medical staff I asked about it said it was as if the board of directors WANTS people to die.

  17. It has notthing to do with how fat someone gets in a hopital. If there going to regulate food people eat there going to starve. Do you think a cancer patient that weighs 60 pounds should only eat salad and low fat food. They need to carb the fuck up to live

  18. Nice thought process, it's not good for them, so we'll just make the choice for them. Don't worry about educating people about the dangers of fast food, or perhaps giving them several options including a healthy choice, no no, we'll just step in and say you eat what we tell you to. Fuck that and fuck you if you feel that way. It's not up to the government to decide what we eat.

  19. Anyone who goes to the hospital for the food is just sick.

Now if they will just ban those pesky superbugs...

No more bacon double MRSA burgers for us, now everyone cry...

I had a job years ago, and we delivered pizza and wings and burgers and tacos and hot dogs, all to the hospital...almost every day.

I'm pretty sure NYC has the same service available.

for someone who has cancer, the last thing they want to consume is junk food or fast food.... I don't know know where you get the idea that we have to "carb the fuck up to live"? Or how cancer patients will starve without fast food?
