Hello, I am new. I made a system that has 2 gallon buckets that are filled with Hydroton. Then I have the Rockwool starter cubes suspended over the Hydroton. The water comes to the bottom of the RW not to get it wet. I am watering 3 times a day. I have a 15 gallon resevrior for the nutrients that are pumped to the 2 gallon buckets every 8 hours. in the morning , mid day then night. Then it drains back into the resevrior. I am not seeing the growth people claim I should be getting. Should I water more often? Should the RW starter cubes get wet? I am using Humbolt A and B. PPM is at 720. PH is 5.8. Should I just place the RW on the hydroton and let it get wet. People are telling me I dont want the RW getting wet. Thanks for your help
dont water everyother hour, thats too much. The crispyness may come from the nutes, due to nute burn. Rock wool can get wet as long as it doesnt stay wet to cause root rot. How big if your plant. A pic of your setup could be helpful as well.
