Not sure if I should get this tat...

  1. I want a new tattoo, and I really like the idea of getting one that represents balance. But I feel like the ying yang is too generic. I was gonna go for a scale on my side.

I was pretty dead set on this, but I realized that it is a libra sign, and I'm not a Libra. Would it be a big deal if I got a scale if it isnt my sign? I never really payed attention to zodiac signs, but I dont want people looking at my tat and asking if I'm a libra or something...

so do you guys think it would be a big deal?

  2. You could get whatever your zodiac sign is instead maybe if you're not comfortable getting the Libra sign

  3. I mean idc i just dont know if the scale is commonly seen as a libra sign. Like if nobody will see it and say "oh are you a libra?" I would get it.

    Where would the tat be?

  5. I was thinkin my side

  6. how are we supposed to know if people are gonna ask you ?

if you want it , get it

if you care that much about other peoples perception , then dont get it

  7. Didnt even know what the libra sign was until right now lol, get it if you want man, if people ask just say it represents balance.

  8. Agreed. You should get what you want, regardless of what you think other peoples' perceptions would be :)

  9. Why not get that Celtic symbol for balance? Or, perhaps the myan symbol for balance and harmony. Use Google.

Scales would be neat, but not on their own.

  10. Get whatever you want, it's your body after all. Just make sure you are dead set on whatever you decide on getting because there is no turning back afterwards.

  11. word.

I had a thought though, you don't have to consider it if you have made your decision already. Mandalas also represent balance if you want to have a symbol of balance and not be so literal or misconstrued. 4.bp.blogspot.com/-73aKclQjy-E/TmKWSlUpOAI/AAAAAAAAXP0/9Yv3znQGaMI/s1600/mandala%2Bhairyprincess%2Bwordpress%2Bcom.jpg there's a nice photo of one being worked on by some monks.
