Not flowering but showing pistols?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by chantellep224, Jun 4, 2019.

  1. Can anyone tell me what this plant is doing? It has has a couple of struggles, the stalks split, had to recover from that, and I sprayed them, picked up the wrong bottle, cleaning product and the leaves spotted, I washed it all down took off any affected leaves and it has since thrived, except the odd over heat which I've fixed withing 24hrs.
I grow in soil, 30% mixed perlite 20% vermiculite, under 400w hps light, I water with soil a& b, plus big bud every 2 days, and 2 ltrs every day in between. It's a small grow area, and it is between 80° in light.

It's a diesel strain, my question is will it bud? It was it veg 4 months, I topped 3 times, it's been in flower since end of January, and lots of hairs but not flowers really forming, how long will it take? Will it out grow my tent? If you can help with any of this I'd be really grateful! 20190603_231314.jpg 20190603_231306.jpg 20190603_231323.jpg

  2. Sour - D (Diesel) is a sativa plant or maybe a hybrid of the original

and will take another 2-3 weeks over normal indica type plants

400w HPS is about minimal I'd do fora sativa

as they require much light . like the tropicals

don't mind the heat or foggy conditions ..think of Hawaii

as such a sativa indoors is best for experienced growers

that be you once you harvest her...lol

but really sativas are best outdoors in a warm to hot clime

    patience please ..lol

    good luck

ps with pistols,, means shes starting to flower autos are good in the meantime

  3. If this plant has been flowering - it hasn't been doing it right. It would be finished easily by now. What light schedule are you running, and are there any light leaks?

  4. Is this an auto or a photo? Autos you can blast 24/0 or 18/6 which ever your flavor. WHOA on the water. Your leaves show it. Feed every 2 days seems kinda high on top of watering every day. Its soil it needs time to dry. Make them thirsty beeshes show some sign of needing water or food. Im still learning but it's probably salt build up in the roots causing a plethora of issues on top of the frequency of watering/feeding. Mine regularly go 9 days between waterings and even my largest one last year in a 25gal bag would go 3-4 days between waterings. Have you ever paid attention to how heavy your pot is before you water??? It should pretty much feel like it's got fresh soil in it and not like a gallon bucket of rocks. That way, a moisture meter, and eventually just seeing it when you look at your plant are the only thing that should decide when you water. Just my 2 cents. Best of wishes.

  5. It has been on the 12/12 )ight schedule for approx 3/4 months, I had over heating issues a couple of months ago, and turned the hps from 600w to 400w as my grown space is small and my plant has grown into the tent, and I was at that time feeding/ watering every other day and she actually started to dry out and die, I started to water more regular and each day I go back the trays dry, I water through the tray rather than through the soil, I hope this helps

  6. Photo, I guess I'll keep holding on because it has had lots of set back and is the biggest one grown yet. Its drinking the water, the next day its bone dry every time, I can give 2 ltrs of water go back 2 hrs later and the trays dry again..
I cant explain it either than it being a big plant... I'll try skip every 3rd day see how she does, as I dont want her going crispy again

  7. I think your right and I need to keep waiting, shes had lots of struggles while shes been in flower so that's probably delayed growing time and any flowering..

  8. That plant has been on 12/12 since the end of January? If it’s been in flower since the end of January that would mean it is approaching 20 weeks in flower. How long has the plant been showing pistils?

  9. Something is definitely going wrong here. Far too much time has passed since you switched to 12/12. Even with a bunch of stress your flowering time isnt going to be extended, the plant is done when its done. At some point every plant reaches its peak potency and after that its potency will wane and the plant will start to eventually seed itself (generally, not always). I would guess you have a bad light leak? Or the genetics might be completely flawed? Ive never seen someone flower for so long and have a plant like yours. Do you lift your pot before watering to check its weight? How are you determining its dry? What kind of soil are you using?

  10. I completely agree, I'll have to check on light leakage, it's a tent so there shouldn't be... and grown in organic mix soil from garden centre. Iv been looking through jewellers loupe and not 1 crystal.... hmm??

And been showing pistols since about 5/6 weeks in...

  11. I only determine dryness due to tray watering and the tray is bone dry every day and having had the plant dry up on me at the end of Feb iv been watering daily since and still the tray is dry the next day every time...

  12. I've had plenty of plants show their sex during veg.

  13. No man, the plant has not lived this long without receiving adequate water and nutrients. Have a look around, you sure there’s no balls on that thing?

  14. Well it was labelled as a female seed, from discreet seeds, diesel drift strain heavyweight brand, I'll get some pics in 2 hours in natural light

  15. The tray isnt where your roots live. Trays will always dry way sooner than your root ball. Never let them need water to the point of crispy leaves but always check the moisture of your soil before watering.

  16. That's what I've been doing since it dried out.. like I say since then its bushed out and pistols have formed but no real buds, and it's been in 12/12 light such a long while...

I think it's on its second set of pistols shooting out... heres some better pictures 20190604_232735~2.jpg 20190604_232748.jpg 20190604_232756.jpg

  18. Iv lifted the pots when lights came on today, before I would just straight away water in tray, the pots pretty light, I wouldn't say theres much water in there as I struggle with it being heavy when wet as it's so big!.. although It seems the water is gone I'll leave it tonight see how she is tomorrow..

  19. I’m not seeing any balls, but I do see what looks like some single and triple blades. Which are signs of stress and most importantly revegging. It looks like your plant may aborting flowering and going back to just “vegging”.

  20. Ahhh you know what I noticed a few weeks ago I'd knocked the timer onto on, not the timer setting, just on. So that may have sent it back to reverse, it was like that for approx 30 hrs and I changed it back to the 12/12 it had been on before this was approximately 2 weeks and a half ago? Not ages ago...
